"I only stay overnight for transit travel. Convenient proximity to airport. Quick and easy check in. Friendly and hospitable receptionist. Clean (especially bathroom) and comfortable. Will definitely stay again and recommend for transit travelers. "

"Pros: The staff is friendly, if you drive or have transportation, this is about 10mins away from the avenue and downtown areas. There's a pool, it looks nice (I didn't get in as it was not an interest). Bedding and room was clean. Everything looked like the pics. Area is quiet and residenial. Cons: Area may be unsafe (but that's Trinidad). Nothing happened while I was there but don't go walking around and jogging past 5PM, that goes for the entire country. "

"Take the Panorama room. Nice to be at a small guesthouse in a little local village, where there still are 3 fine restaurants, one at the guesthouse We had no cleaning the 4 days we stayed there They only accept cash and there is no ATM in the village Good price, but be prepared to stay in a room, which needs some renovation. Aircondition fine."

"What a special place to have stayed! The Pax Guest House is located atop Mount Saint Augustine in one of the nicest locations on Trinidad. Fantastic views from this well-preserved guesthouse that dates to 1925. Fantastic hosts manage this property. They are very helpful and reliable. The guesthouse provides a very delicious breakfast in the morning. Guests should be mindful however that bathroom facilities for some rooms (not all) are shared with other guests. "

"Kiskadee Korner is a safe, clean and friendly property in the St Clair neighbourhood of Port of Spain. I felt so reassured by the staff’s friendly approach to ensuring a pleasant stay and of course my safety. "The hotel was clean quiet. Not big on amenities but it’s secure, close to almost everything and the staff are helpful and friendly "

"This accommodation provides the basics in the studio room. About 4×3 (12) square meters bedroom with small kitchen, gas stove, refrigerator, sink, and microwave. The attached bathroom is clean. Wifi in the room is stabilt. I used the accommodation as base for road trips which worked fine. Diego Martin and Port of Spain have a high crime rate according to locals; be aware of this."

"We got another apartment than we booked, and when we checked in, the whole apartment stank of dogs and was full of dog hairs. The kitchen and especially fridge was very mouldy and dirty and the overall impression of the place was not good with dogs barking all night leaving no sleep. Not even with earplugs. The whole area and especially their own dogs was extremely loud. We adressed these issues to the owner who tried to accomodate us but didnt help. We checked out early to find a better place"

"I had a wonderful stay at Shalom Guesthouse in Port of Spain. It is located in a quiet and safe area. The room is spacious, with a mini fridge, which is great for cooling food and drinks and a table, which is practical for working, an en-suite bathroom and even a little terrace. The owner was very helpful with everything, like directions and other information. A delicious breakfast was served to my room. I could rest well here, can highly recommend this accommodation. :)"
