"Took the airport express — only about 37 minutes — and the hotel is right near Taipei Main Station. One tip: ask ppl in train ststion which exit to use when you get there, because that station is massive and it’s easy to get turned around. I get in around 11pm so most spots nearby were already closed, but there’s a McDonald’s about a 5-minute walk away that stays open late, and there are convenience stores in the area if you just need snacks. Morning is a totally different story — plenty of food...

"Location is about 6km a walk to Ximen MRT station, and you can also walk to Taipei Main station (to catch AirPort Express) if the weather is kind. The path there is friendly for moving luggage, versus carrying the luggage down the steps at Ximen station! Lots of eateries near to the hotel. I found two nice breakfast places within 5 mins walk. Room is big with balcony. Just that I wish the aircon can be stronger (even after setting at 16 degrees C)."
