Excellent location in Ortigia, inside a palazzo, with a peekabo view of the Med. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds, soft, warm linens, amply sized bathroom with rain shower and excellent water pressure. Our room faced a quiet alleyway, so despite being at the center of everything on a weekend, our room was blissfully quiet. Breakfast is lovely with homemade pastries and juices. Parking is very difficult, but Martina and staff helped us arrange. A note that Ortigia itself is not a very accessible destination, we parked as close as was possible and still carried our bags across a town square and down a couple streets. There is no elevator, and entrance to the palazzo requires lifting bags over a door lip.

Everything around this bnb is simply lovely. The building is authentic, right there in the main piazza , the cleanliness is astonishing, and the service is beyond, owner was attentive to my needs, she agreed to serve breakfast earlier, she guided my thorough every step of check in, made sure I had recommendations of the city, she was fantastic, breakfast delicious in a beautiful dining room. Best bnb in all my trip around Italy.

Have stayed in many B&Bs in Italy and elsewhere and Maeco is one the very best. Martina extends a warm welcome, has excellent taste and runs a superb operation. The location couldn’t be better and the B&B’s modern amenities are integrated beautifully into the impressive historic building.

I had a wonderful stay at Maecò Ortigia B&B. My room was really nice, confotrable and quiet. The breakfast was terrific. Also the two women who manned the front desk were very helpful. They gave me terrrific restaurant recommendations. They also set up a boat ride around the island and a taxi to the bus to the airport in Catania. The B&B is in a great location. It is on one of the main streets with lots of restaurants and stores. It is also very close to the Duomo and the Piazza Archimede.

Excellent accueil. Gentillesse de la maîtresse de maison et des employés. Belle Chambre très confortable, spacieuse et très propre décorée avec goût . Petit déjeuner copieux avec des produits de qualité ( mention spéciale pour la confiture de mandarine élaborée par la maman de notre hôtesse : à goûter impérativement ! ). Très bien placé . Nous recommandons vivement !!

Amazing. My first time here, would never stay anywhere else. Both girls at checkin area were very lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast was great. Best possible location to be in Ortigia. Very modern rooms in historic building.

Fantastic location in the heart of old town Ortigia. Large room and bathroom with beautiful decor. Excellent breakfast with good selection of fresh, quality products. Martina was very calm & helpful when we got lost trying to drop our car so it could be parked. It all worked out in the end! Loved the communal breakfast table where we met fellow travellers from around the world. Definitely recommend Maecò Ortigia

La localisation de la propriété est exceptionnelle. La propriétaire Martina est attentionnée et a de bons contacts dans la ville. Le personnel est souriant. Le déjeuner était délicieux. Le seul petit point négatif est l'odeur dans le hall d'entrée menant à la propriété.

This B&B is simply 5 stars. Its location is right in the centre of Ortigia, so perfect for dining, exploring and shopping. Quiet at night in our room despite being located in a main alleyway. Breakfast was superb & Martina (the owner) was amazing. Lovely experience

The property is in a beautiful old building and is right next to the magnificent cathedral. Two hostesses are very gracious and accommodating to our needs. Our unit for three people is very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast room is beautiful, overlooking a charming street outside. Ample choices for breakfast and they are all very tasty. We spent 3 night there and will be very happy to stay there again.

I had my doubts when I saw this place's facade and made my way upstairs to reception, but then everything changed! The place is wonderful--completely updated, modern, and spotlessly clean! The staff members, especially Martina, are very helpful and friendly. My room was spacious--at least as nice as many of the rooms I've stayed in at hotels that cost much more.

We liked EVERYTHING in our stay, it was a highlight of our Sicily trip. 1. Clean spacious room with high ceiling and window open into a quiet street. 2. Updated super-clean bathroom. 3. Beautifully decorated property in a historical building. 3. Excellent breakfast. 5. Location right in the middle of the Ortigia historical area, 2-minute walk from the Cathedral. 6. Friendly and super helpful owner and staff. They answered all our questions and made our stay pleasant and comfortable. 7. Private parking option - comes very handy in a historical city with lots of traffic and restrictions for travelers with a car. 8. Everything was well-organized: check-in and check-out, communication with private parking, etc. Next time we are in Sicily will definitely stay here!

A delightful stay, perfect for seeing the fascinating centro storico Ortigia. Our hosts were extremely helpful and welcoming, we wanted for nothing. The room was clean and spacious and the decor was lovely. We loved the location which was close to everything. The bed was really comfortable. The owner Martina was super! She was super helpful and very charming and made us feel right at home.

Very nice place in central location. Fredericka was a huge asset/help. She helped coordinate parking which I was a bit concerned about prior to our arrival. Cost was 25 euros per day, a bit steep, but was worth it. We should have stayed longer than one night, my mistake. Lovely around the island.

Que prazer foi estar neste hotel!! Martina a proprietária é fantástica, super educada e solicita. O hotel é de uma organização, limpeza e bom gosto, fora do comum, Martina nos deixou super a vontade. Mycket bra boende mitt i Ortigia
Vi använde Google maps och siktade på adressen och blev väldigt stressade av att hamna på gator där man nog inte får köra. Jag pratade i telefon med Frederica som sa att vi borde parkera på den stora parkeringen. Det blev rätt svettigt att sedan släpa väskorna till boendet. Rummet var överraskande fräscht när vi kommit igenom trapphuset. Trevligt boende mitt i smeten. Trevligt bemötande. Bra frukost. Vad gäller hållbarhet så kan det vara bekvämt att låta luftkonditioneringen vara på när man lämnar rummet, vilket det normalt inte går att göra, men det känns oansvarigt att lämna den på så det gjorde vi inte.
