"We had such a lovely stay. It felt like a home away from home. The cottage is clean, cosy and perfect for our family. The kitchen was equipped with everything that you need. The kids loved the bunk beds. The house is perfectly positioned within walking distance to all the amenities. We had a nice time using the indoor and outdoor pool. We rented a boat and had a nice paddle around the lake. We booked the soft play and it was nice to have the space all to yourself. My suggestions would be to call...

"Stunning lodge in the most beautiful setting. This was our third visit to Lower Mill Estate. Coot Lodge is a very spacious 3 bedroom lodge - with double height living accommodation, huge decked area, with bbq. It’s close proximity to the spa and pool made it super easy to walk to. Lots of towels and clean bedding. We were spoilt for board Games. The property is so lovely that we didn’t really want to leave to go anywhere! We would highly recommend and would book to visit again."

"We travelled from the US to visit with family and friends and we were pleased to learn of all the amenities that come with this property. We were able to rent bikes, kayaks, SUPs, and tennis rackets. The lake view from the back of the property was lovely."

"We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house with such a stunning view. It was listed as 8 adult and 2 children but I would say it only slept 9 comfortably. Two beds were crammed into a tiny room which wasn’t ideal. Otherwise it was warm, and very well equipped. "

"We’ve been to this estate before so we know how beautiful it is, such an incredible holiday! The only issue is that the listing stated that the property was 4 bedrooms and when we arrived one of those bedrooms had a sofa bed, as I have 3 children it was all a bit of a squeeze! It was fine in the end. "Size of apartment amazing. Modern. Clean. Sufficient amount of towels. Kitchen area fabulous. Scenery beautiful. Usage of pools great. Parking good. Quiet which was amazing."

"Stayed as two families - 4 adults 3 kids. V clean and well maintained, good facilities and attentive customer service. Only drawback is open decking so others can walk past whilst sitting out but that’s fine for a weekend."

"We stayed for our wedding weekend, it was just what we wanted, although the weather wasn’t great for the weekend we still had a great time, watching the rain dance on the lake and nice chilled days in the swimming pool and spa. We have stayed in the Lower Mill Estate before so knew what to expect, and we always love it! "

"The property was lovely, very clean, well-equipped and in a very good location. It was quiet and peaceful, but close to the estate facilities including the excellent pool complex and the bar/restaurant. Catherine, the owner, was very helpful and went beyond our expectations to resolve the one issue that we had while we were there. "Our Accomodation met all our needs. The kitchen was a little small but adequate. We loved being able to paddle board from the rear of our Accomodation. We did get stuck in the reeds though. Perhaps they need a little trim. The outdoor pool was heated so the kids were happy to splash around before dinner. We didn’t use the Spa. We did a couple of walks around the village and a little bit of nature spotting. I think it would be a good idea to create a larger adventure play area for the 10+...

"We came from Canada to visit family and this was the ideal place! Charming, warm, well-equipped cottage with comfy beds and lots of room to entertain. We could invite family and friends over to the restaurant, or get wonderful frozen dishes at the resort store, plus wine and ice cream. Everywhere was level and paved so our less mobile visitors were able to join us on walks."

"Very spacious and comfortable house for 8 of us, celebrating special family birthdays. We enjoyed lots of lovely nature walks despite the rain, and also swimming, play areas, and a good meal in the Ballihoo restaurant. Visiting ducks appreciated by the children!"

Mange forbud og støvet

"Meget upersonligt med check in på en computer, ligesom i lufthavnen. Ingen receptionist. Lyset på værelset virkede ikke, så fik fat i service medarbejder som kom og skiftede sikringer af 2 omgange, forstyrrende. Betalte 10 GBP for at jeg og min datter skulle til fitness og pool, men min datter måtte ikke træne, som 9 årig og poolen var også begrænset, så vi måtte ikke svømme med børn, og hun måtte ikke benytte jacuzzien. Løftede persienne på hotel værelset for at lukke vinduerne, og der var masser af spindelvæv, støv og møg beskidt. Der var ikke gjort rent bag persiennerne i månedsvis. At kalde dette et luksus hotel med 4 stjerner, er som at kalde en gammel rysten Skoda felicia for en luksus bil. "

Very nice hotel not far from Swindon

" Cricklade hotel is my new favourite in the vicinity of Swindon. Nice surroundigs, comfortable rooms, pool, sauna, stram bath and a well equipped gym. Food is also of a High standard👍"
