We had a medium sea view room which had a large king size bed with a lovely modern bathroom. We had a fantastic sea view from our window. "We had an excellent stay whilst attending a concert at the open air theatre. The room was clean with everything you needed, a well stocked tea and coffee tray with biscuits and two bottles of water. There was also toiletries in the bathroom although we used our own. The bar itself was great, lovely choice of drinks and food. Great band were playing on the Saturday night, great friendly atmosphere. The breakfast in the morning was first class, lots of choice and well cooked. We wouldnt hesitate...

I'd booked a while ago and was a little dubious reading some of the recent reviews.
The hotel has a great location and is as you'd expect a Victorian seaside hotel to be, a little dated but that's part of the charm. The hotel boasts commanding views over the bay and close to the castle.
We had 2 rooms booked, both were spacious, clean and seemed to have new furniture.

"We stayed in room 2 whilst we went to a concert in the town and couldn't have been happier with our stay. The room was clean, comfortable and ample for our needs and though the room is on the front (with view of the sea) we slept well and didn't get disturbed, not even by the seagulls.
Steve and his staff were brilliant. Really helpful and friendly and to cap things off the breakfast was superb and great value.

"Its not the most stylish or modern of places to stay but it has a lovely feel to it. Staff are honest, i left my ear buds and they handed them in.
