Fantastic balconies.
Two parents and children 16, 13 and 12 not disappointed by accommodation - although glad hired a car on arrival at airport for our 11 night stay. Very spacious and well equipped apartment (3 separate dining areas - kitchen and lounge/bedroom inside, plus one outside on the incredible wrap-around upper balcony) and despite being there mid July 2018, adjoining pool area never crowded. Had not expected the secured basement car parking. Car well used, as although numerous opportunities within a mile for dining out etc, always a walk back up hill afterwards - and the elderly and/or disabled may struggle. Explored the island - some narrow roads off the beaten track heading inland/uphill were pretty hair-raising due to their steepness...be prepared - quite scary on occasions - just hope you don't meet someone coming other way! The drive to Masca from Santiago del Teide was a highlight...just take it slowly, and whilst we didn't stop there, the town of Tamaimo on the way appeared worth a visit. The airport (Tenerife South) was around 45 minutes away, with the Siam Water Park and more major tourist resorts of Plasa las Americas / Los Cristianos around 15 minutes closer. Temperatures during the day high twenties, but constant light breeze refreshing (though take care as strength of sun easy to under-estimate). Evenings warm, but comfortable and air conditioning (surprisingly) not always necessary. Beach at Los Gigantes spectacular...more room at Playa de San Juan - 10 mins south.
Fordele: Two bathrooms (one bath, two showers) was a bonus - especially having a daughter - it also gave the rest of us time to prepare before going out!
Ulemper: Numerous TV channels mainly Spanish (fair enough!) or Russian - only found one English-language (news) channel - may annoy some UK/Irish guests.
Lokation: Immediate vicinity was mainly residential/holiday apartments - so unless you don't mind walking (in the heat), would need own transport / taxis.
