I present a complaint of egregiously low service, flagrant disrespect and inability to assist.
A woman CONCIERGE insisting on OVERCHARGING me for my excursion booked earlier at a lower price.
The front desk placed an excessive credit authorization of $1,432.34 hold on my credit card - $900 more than the $517 + resort/hotel taxes than described. Effectively taking $2,032.34.
We were promised a complimentary cake and sparkling wine upon entry - this did NOT happen.
I took the tray with dishes to the 26th floor club level. When I arrived, my key card previously used stopped working. A female Sheraton Hotel Rio worker sprang out from behind a desk "physically" blocking access to the club room I paid for angrily "barking orders, interrogating me, and scolding me" with egregious disrespect. To wit:
1. Why are you here?
2. Why are you trying to get in here!?
3. Why didn't you pay for club room access!? INSULTING!
4. Are you supposed to be here?
5. Why didn't you put the plates outside your door?
6. Why didn't you put the plates by the elevator.
7. Don't do this again.
When I tried to explain I DID INDEED have club access, I paid, and I have been here earlier, I was essentially called a liar, treated with RACISM and continued to be castigated. The thanks I get for going the extra mile on MY anniversary. Abhorrent!!!
It appears to have been the absolute WORST decision to have chosen Sheraton Grand Rio Hotel.
