Overall, this was a great hotel. Restaurants were good. Staff was kind and friendly; really made the experience lovely. My son has food allergies and Melany was such a great help to us! The staff at the world cafe were great, especially Lisette, Ricardo and Martine.
Entertainment staff were amazing and put on such a great show every night. My kids have not stopped talking about them.
Negatives about our trip: Check in experience was awful. We arrived at 3:30 PM and did not get our room until 6:00 PM. It was a long travel day for us and we have two young children. We were not pleased having to wait 2 hrs for our room. They told us our room was upgraded due to the wait, but it was worse than the original room we were supposed to have.
Check-out was very bad. We had requested a late check out and they told us we could stay in the room until 1 PM. At 12 PM we got multiple calls from the front desk staff every five minutes telling us we needed to check out immediately which was very stressful for us since had been told 1PM was ok!
Since had to check out at 1PM (flight was at 9), my husband left our luggage at with the concierge, and had the carry on with him. He was followed by 3 security guards because of this. They were very rude and said he couldn’t have his carry on with him. This wasn't a matter of miscommunication because even when I spoke to them about it in Spanish (I’m fluent) they had no real reason for following my husband, just a Power Trip!
