Property was beautiful. I like the different sections. I was not a fan at the fact that most restaurants did not open until 6:30pm and closed at 10pm. It was quite a limited window to experience the food at the resort.

The resort, amenities and people were nice but I didn’t really like the food in most of the restaurants. The mold throughout the resort is crazy though. I couldn’t breathe one night in my room I had to sleep with the doors open. The customer service is 50/50 there was a guy who worked at a bar that was talking about my sister in Spanish assuming she couldn’t understand and a server gave me an attitude. Otherwise the customer service was nice. The adults only reception was mold galore!! I enjoyed the water park, the pools, the bars & the beach but the mold and humidity problem was a big turn off for me. The food at El Asador was the best! And Julio at Timon bar & Jason at one of the other bars! Amazing bar tenders!

Our reception at Lopesan Costa Bavaro was great! Bladimir was very welcoming and helpful upon our arrival and departure. Dalitza working the buffet area was extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A smile can go a long way :) Buffet was the best we've experienced at an all inclusive resort. MANY different options including a kids corner, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free. It is worth watching a video to get a better idea of how big the buffet actually is. The only thing I would say is if you are looking for a separate Adults only wing (rooms, restaurants for example), that is not really an option from what we experienced. Rooms are not dedicated specifically for families or adults only. They are mixed throughout the resort. The buffet has an adults only seating section once you have your food. There is also an adults only pool section, secluded from the other pools. Adults only section available at the beach however it is located directly beside the family section if you are looking for a more secluded area. The seaweed can be an issue however the staff works hard to clean the beach daily. The beach is wide which gives lots of clean space to walk. The resort landscaping is beautiful! Good bang for your buck. We will be returning to this resort.

My room flooded on first night, and bathroom sink would not drain. They sent someone to fix it at 1AM but 30 minutes later it started again. That ceiling was heavily leaking all night into the next day. After begging the front desk the next morning and showing videos they agreed to move me at the end of the next day. I am from Jamaica and used to heavy rainfall, this was not that heavy. We walked past hallways that had towels barricading the door to stop water from entering. Even interacting with persons who were there on much longer stays who had to move several times due to water damage etc. Gentleman at the front desk Belnin was excellent, the definition of true hospitality. Even tho there was no service recovery, I appreciated coming back to the room and finding an apology note, as well as a bottle of wine. We ended up leaving it for staff, as I’m not a heavy drinker and could not take it back with me. Beautiful hotel, it really does look like paradise but the infrastructure seemed poorly built. Also, the public spaces seemed to suffer quite a bit from the rainfall, lobby, buffet, seating areas outside etc. Maybe no proper drainage system? I’m not sure but that was a mess. Again, thank you again to Belnin and Javier at the front desk for wonderful service! La Mareas, Inara and El Ashdod service and food was great.

The resort is not Adults Only! It is a shared resort with families! All the clubs, shopping, food, bars are on the family side. The only adults only benefit is a pool/ bar. That’s it! The rest is kids! Not a bad thing unless you were expecting adults only! A few of the staff were amazing! Our pool bartender should run his own resort! He knew how to treat his customers! I felt like I was an inconvenience to most of the rest of the staff. Poor attitudes! And English is not even a secondary language in the Dominican Republic because communication was a big issue! I would sum it up by saying it wasn’t a bad experience! It just wasn’t what I expected for what I paid for the resort! There are a lot better options out there. Probably wouldn’t go back!

The property was beautiful and very well maintained. You have to book reservations for restaurants as soon as you get a room number or you will never get in. The buffet food was not very good, but the restaurants are wonderful! Breakfast options were not great. Wish there were snack or food options at the adult pool.

The location and the installations are stunning , this property is massive so you will walk a lot , the food in the buffet is so vast and the food options like no other place I’ve seen , they clearly put a lot of effort to make and prepare all of this delicious food however service is lacking , staff just doesn’t check on you regularly, one day the buffet section did not have a hostess so things were pretty messy so felt disorganized. When you go to the bar section you see they are either clearly understaffed and takes forever to get attention or it’s a strategy to slow down customers from over ordering . Pool was nice but in some areas some people were smoking hookah?!! Also once you are at the beach no one comes check on you for water or drinks ..plus there is no signaling of where to get towels and when you ask particularly feminine staff they answer you with some attitude, they could do so much better from a service standpoint and that would make them 5 stars .

By far this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I’d say the quality of service, staff, cleanliness, quality of food, almost anything about this place doesn’t meet the standard for a hotel. We went there with a group, 9 other couples, for an event and following is some of our experience: 1. Food poisoning. 2. Cockroach in our room. 3. Water leaking from ceiling. 4. Staff begging for tip. One was claiming their mother is sick. 5. Checking our luggage at checkout to see if we are taking towels!!!! Anyway, this place is just an expensive building with a poor operation and management. Save yourself by avoiding it. It is also not cheap so I am confident you can find way better place that is worth your money.

The staff was more friendly to foreigners than to local guests. The room was not thoroughly clean, the toilet seat was not completely clean, the outdoor furniture was dusty. The day I checked out, being at the airport I found out that my luggage was left behind at thw hotel door by the company that picked me up, so I called guest service and the lady told me that it was not their fault and not their problem. Very rude. Will not stay there again nor recommend to anyone. Also, after raining for 40 minutes the hotel installations were preety much flooded. Not safe to stay during rain season.

The service was terrible at the buffet. Workers would take forever to sit you down, 5 workers would pass by and they wouldn’t think to ask what we want to drink. Outside of the service at the buffet only everything else was great! The resort itself is beautiful!!

This property is absolutely beautiful! It’s very clean on th grounds, the lounge areas, by the pool, the halls and the room. They have plenty of dining options and are located throughout the property so you get a chance to walk around and enjoy the view. There’s an app you download that was extremely helpful. You book all your reservations there and it has the menu for all of the restaurants. You can get room service through there, any maintenance issues, and it has a property map. The resort has 1042 rooms but you were not on top of people which was great. Plenty of seats available at the pools and in the beach. My bf and I are already planning to come back in Dec. this place is a 10 out of 10!

We just got back from a week. We had an excellent time here at Lopesan. Property is beautiful and even better at night. Rooms are very nice and very clean. We enjoyed all our meals at the restaurants and the coffee shop is excellent. Only negatives for us, beach is huge and nice but there is a lot of boat traffic, especially late afternoon, was not a problem for us, but something to consider. Pool’s are excellent and I think that everyone can find a vibe they are wanting. The Adults only pool was really rowdy later in the day which we didn’t enjoy but then we would move. The restaurants were all great and for the most part the main buffet was good, but could be a little hit or miss. We would not hesitate to book here again.

The property is definitely vacation vibes but it lacked hospitality. The staff wasn’t as friendly except at the casino. They were awesome! The food was okay. The rooms need to be soundproofed. I could hear the tv from next door and the kids upstairs. I stayed on the adults only side which I didn’t understand why I would hear kids. I would give it this resort another chance though.

This was a girls trip with myself, my sister and mother who is almost 80. We had a spendid time! The grounds were gorgeous, the facilities and pools were so clean and the staff was cheerful, helpful and very pleasant. And the food/restaurants were fantastic. Were were there for a week and still didn't get to try everything!!

We had a wonderful time staying at Lopesan! Some of the highlights are the food, great drinks, fabulous shows, and overall cleanliness / luxury / newness of the property. Our only minor complaint is that the beach is a bit small (swimming area) is limited and there are lots of tourist activities / boats in close proximity, but nothing too egregious.

We had an exceptional and unforgettable time at Adults Only Club at Lopesan Costa Bávaro - All Inclusive. This luxurious resort offers a five star experience - exceptional food, top-shelf liquor, elegant suites and great customer service. We enjoy our morning coffee and Bavaro Cafe exceeded our expectations. Each day, we began with a Café Dominicano Latte curated by Mirla, our Barista. We are foodies and whether at the buffet, Goldfish Bar, with an extensive food selection, including locally inspired dishes, fresh salad bar and grill to order choices or the several al la cart restaurant options, we had an amazing culinary experiences, not just meals! The Adults Only Pool & Bar was secluded and Domingo went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure all guests had their drinks and were having a great time. Jesus, the guest service manager and his customer service/reception team, was attentive and ensured that we had a great stay. We are so pleased with our stay at Lopesan, we plan to return with our family and friends! Our stay was absolutely amazing!
