"Velas is a beautiful resort. The staff has always been helpful and very friendly. Fun activities and nightly shows along with good food with themed dinners. There is a nice and clean gym that has the basics for a good workout. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing. We have stayed here many times and will continue to return."

"I chose the hotel based on a YouTuber, and it was ok/nice, but using hotels way more than 150 nights per year, you start valuing differently. How cozy is a room, how fast is the internet, how great is the temp and water pressure in your shower, and how is breakfast? Puerto Vallarta is a tourist trap, and the competition sets the standard - too expensive for too little, and well, breakfast - I don't know, I am maybe just longing too much for home right now :-) But not bad, for the record!"

"The staff was great, the property was really cute, it has a nice restaurant, serves great food, the room was small, but sufficient, it was a good location - - close to the airport, the Marina and public transportation. "I don’t have much positive to say about this hotel. Food has no flavor and their mixed drinks are undrinkable. On top, I got food poisoned after having my first dinner at the hotel. I spent the next day in bed and when we told the staff, they just replied that can happen and didn’t offer any assistance for medication etc.
