Really helpfull staff - BUT: insufficient elevator capacity - lack of coffee machine, water boiler and refrigerator in the rooms - long lines and insufficient seating capacity at breakfast restaurant PLUS "free" continental breakfast is actually not free - you will have to pay $6 in addition to your voucher if you order one croissant with ham, one coffee and one juice. And finally, my daughter, son-in-law and four-months old granddaughter had to stay the 1st night in a room without drawers, and no hangers / bar in the closet (so they could not unpack) plus a heavy smell of fresh paint.

Very nice hotel, very bad breakfast solution
Nice, clean and friendly hotel that lives up to the photos. The breakfast solution is not good: 20-30 minute lines each morning was annoying.

Nice stay. The property has a very long history. From the building exterior to the small but stylish elevator you can clearly see the historical influence. The room is clean, bed comfortable, around many great eats. The neighborhood is clean but bustling with energy. And it’s very close to Levain Bakery which serves fantastic cookies. The only down side I have is the room I got was pretty close to the elevator and not sound proof enough. I’m a late sleeper so not bothering for me. It would be good to check with the hotel about the room location first before booking if you’re sensitive to the sound. My stay came with $20 vouchers per night that you can use for breakfast or dinner. The French bakery closed to the entrance is descent. $20 is plenty for solo traveler but might need a few dollars more for two. Overall, recommend.

Excellent service and stay Great bakery, loved the pastries and coffee Staff were very friendly Nice location easy commutable via subway and taxi to airports Staff were very lovely Only downside was the cleanliness of the floor in the room, needed a good hoover and a wipe, but dusty and not cleaned. Otherwise great stay.

We needed to be close to upper west side to be near to my son. As it’s a residential there aren’t many hotels to choose from so it’s a good job that the Belleclaire was so good. The bedroom was clean and comfy, the front desk staff were awesome and the bakery attached (separate business and French owned) again, was awesome. As we will be visiting quite often this will be our hotel of choice, but perhaps not in May as the whole city seemed to be celebrating graduation!! The only disappointment was that one night the bar was closed for a private function without prior notification.

We had a great stay with our dog. The hotel does nothing special for pups - no dog bowl, no biscuit gift, no dog bed etc. like you might get at other hotels - rather she was treated like any other guest! like an expected, respected guest ;-) - but we booked Hotel Belleclaire primarily because I'd hoped the room size would well accommodate our large dog. Not only was it a really nice large room, but it had hard, cool floors which helped her feel comfortable which made our stay even better. We were able to walk her in Riverside Park in the morning and despite the rainy weather, wandered over to Central Park and and the Museum of Natural History as well. We were also able to dine outside with her at a couple restaurants right outside the hotel on Broadway. We had business in the neighborhood and across town and HB was a great home away from home. I also needed to do some remote work from the room. The wifi was great and the room was comfortable and pleasant for work mode. We hope to be able to stay again.

Stayed with my daughter for a girls trip, staff were all so helpful! They got all our luggage to our room with ease, we were warmly welcomed after a long day of traveling. The café vouchers are perfect for grabbing a quick bite in the morning. The coffee was good, the yogurt and pastries were all delightful. The front desk even helped secure a taxi for us on departure! It was a seamless, stress-free stay.

Great hotel! We had a very spacious room for NYC - the front desk upgraded us to the family suite and it was so comfortable. Location was excellent, breakfast vouchers to the French cafe were great, and the front desk staff was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

We always stay here to visit our son in college. Close to the trains with access uptown or downtown. They have a little restaurant in the lobby and a good partnership with a French cafe.

Very pleased with overall treatment by a very courteous, professional, and attentive staff. Check in seamless and easy. My room was the perfect place to end busy days. Comfortable beds and Loved the shower. Will definitely recommend.
