Ich habe lediglich zwei Anmerkungen .. in dieser Preisklasse darf es gern etwas weniger vorgegeben werden, das macht den Eindruck das der Gastgeber seine eigenen Abläufe optimieren möchte. Es passt wohl auch nicht zu dem Anspruch des Hauses wenn man dem Gast nach Chlor schmeckendes Trinkwasser bereitstellt, da sollte bei ca. 1000 USD ein gutes Wasser machbar sein ohne in die Minibar greifen zu müssen. Fuji but couldn’t due to heavy snowfall, but relaxing in the hot open-air onsen while the snow was falling on your face and listening to the nearby shrine gong sounds was simply one of the best experiences of my trip. "We stayed 2 nights in a special queen room with a balcony and view of Fujisan. We were on the 3rd of 4 floors. We did a 1 day climb of Mt. Fuji and this room was our home base. We were able to walk about 18 minutes to and from Kawaguchiko Station to catch the Fujikyu bus for 5th Station of the Yoshida trail easily. It is a downhill walk to the station. A little harder to walk back from the station after climbing Fuji but very doable. Taxis are plentiful at the station if you rrally need one....

At first glance the building and the decor is a bit outdated, but the comfort is high and everything runs smoothly at the hotel. The onsen is nice and the breakfast is really good. We found that the price of the hotel's restaurant to be a bit pricy and therefore didn't try it - lots of other places to eat in the area. You do however need a car to get around (or rent a bike from the hotel) as not much is in walking...
