"We stayed 2 nights in a special queen room with a balcony and view of Fujisan. We were on the 3rd of 4 floors. We did a 1 day climb of Mt. Fuji and this room was our home base. We were able to walk about 18 minutes to and from Kawaguchiko Station to catch the Fujikyu bus for 5th Station of the Yoshida trail easily. It is a downhill walk to the station. A little harder to walk back from the station after climbing Fuji but very doable. Taxis are plentiful at the station if you rrally need one....

Stayed there for 2 nights in a cool traditional tatami-room with both mountain and lake view. The staff didn't speak much English but they were very helpful and kind. They even drove us to the station when we asked them to call a taxi.
I would definitely recommend you stay there for a unique and authentic experience. Also the onsen is...
