"this is an extraordinary locally owned platform cabin lodge in the rainforest next to the major national park with the most biodiversity in all Central America. Dispite the challenging location our room with Erie clean, no mold ( a rainforest problem) and fun. With an outdoor shower and a beautiful trail leading to it with candles along the way. "Husband and I had a pleasant stay at chachagua. We arrived late at night and was greeted at the front desk with hand towels and fruit juice. Checking in was smooth and we were escorted to our bungalow (make sure to have a high car as you will drive through a low river). Bungalow was private and very clean. "We were looking for an “off-tourist” spot since we flew in from nyc and were driving up to La fortuna. This was an absolute gem. Plenty space for kids to run/play, hot springs, gorgeous river stream. We only had one morning, but would’ve easily stayed for a couple nights if we didn’t have our next stop scheduled! Totally recommend this place - be prepared as this is more like a high-end “glamping”. Plenty beds and sleeping accommodations. Very respectful and accommodating staff. "
