"Came for 3 days to visit Cornell with my daughter and this home was perfect. Small, yet not lacking anything, rustic but lacking none of the modern tech. The backyard waterful, fire pit and views are worth the stay alone. Would definitely stay again."

"The (3-6 person) yurt experience is truly wonderful. The yurt itself has an herb garden and 2 koi ponds onsite. Michelle is a gracious and kind hostess who ensured we were well taken care of. The yurt itself is very clean and comfortable and even comes with fresh local coffee! Based on the season, you may need insect (tick) repellent if you plan to traipse through the wildflower fields and woods nearby. We would love to stay here again and hope to do so in the near future."

"Loved everything about our stay! Went up for a baseball tournament, but wanted to stay for everything else. The cottage was fantastic, views perfect and loved, absolutely loved the towns of Preble, Homer and Cortland. We were fortunate enough to get to enjoy the fire pit for S’mores, the lake for fishing and had PERFECT weather for windows open and cool breezes! "The octagon is a perfect place to stay to explore the entire Ithaca area. I hiked every day, went kayaking on Seneca Lake, and ate in downtown Ithaca every night. The place is so peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed the clawfoot tub after my hikes too!"

"This is an ideal place to stay in an area that has limited options. The cottage is well-equipped with everying you need, and then some. The living area is comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need, the bedroom is large and the bathroom is large enough. Although it has a country decor, it is actually modern and looks renovated. "Very nice home to rest and relax. We were a bit familiar with the area so we had a nice time and hosts were very kind to share their lakefront for fishing! Hoping to stay again in the future. Beautiful peonies, too!"

"We enjoyed the nice covered porch, being able to enjoy the outdoors with a nice breeze and a couple views of deer in the fields. The outdoor picnic table by the fire ring was nice for grilling and making s’mores. Inside, the air conditioning was a nice retreat from the 90* heat during the day. We went swimming at Dorchester park but it was cut short due to thunderstorms in the area. I’m already looking forward to coming back again soon. Thanks for sharing this cottage with us."

"I was so impressed by all of the amenities this Lake cottage had to offer! James was so easy to communicate with and made our stay extra special with the smores basket and breakfast supplies he had waiting for us! The views from every room are to die for and the fact that there were four kayaks available for our family to use made it possible for us all to enjoy the beauty of the lake together. "Our family stayed here to attend a college graduation nearby. The lake view and vibe were both amazing and peaceful. We were greeted by our hosts, they were very friendly and helpful. The cottage had everything , my sons enjoyed the canoe and paddle boards provided too. The 2nd night, the entire area lost power, we lost water too, that put a damper on the trip.."
