The day before arrival management called us and said we could not stay at our original apartment due to some local restrictions???They offered another location in Chueca, which we really did not like but it was too late to do anything else. The apartment was not bad, but it was farther away from the areas we planned to visit and also the street and surroundings were not very appealing. The worst part was that we found and killed 7 cockroaches during our stay. Also management did not offer any info or hints about what to do in the neighborhood (as I have experienced in prior rentals). In fact communication with them was non existent. Definitely I will never rent from Madflats again.

Great location but some negatives

The property is centrally located. However it was extremely noisy with street life, sirens and construction activity which went on well into the night and started before 7am. The linens and bathrooms were good and clean the walls could do with a wash or fresh coat of paint. We were told on arrival that NOTHING could flushed in the toilets including regular toilet paper. This is a serious shortcoming.

Puerta del Sol

Fantastic location, easy communication with the owner. A little bit of a walk to get to the place with luggage, we were there for 35 days. My only complain is that the kitchen was not very well equipped. We ended up buying few things. Also i wish they had a small vacuum or a mop to use because the place gets very dusty. With that being said the location was incredible within walking distance everywhere. We absolutely loved it and definitely will stay there again if we go back.

Great Location

Great appartment in central Madrid. Balconies overlooking the square. Walk outside and you right jn the action.It was a little noisie at times which isnto be expected when staying right in the heart of of the city which is to be expected but something to consider if you are a light sleeper

Very convenient, be prepared for the sanitation system

Very well located apartment, although noisy at night for early birds. All the basic conveniences. The only reason we would not stay here again is because of the bathrooms - we didn’t mind that they are small, just weren’t expecting to not be able to flush used toilet paper down the toilets but to dispose of it in a bin.

The Very Center of Madrid

Location, location, location. Overlooking the Plaza Callao, the apartment was walking distance to the Plaza de Sol, and the Plaza Mejor, with metro stops and taxis a stone's throw away. It's a very active neighborhood, loud and boisterous during the day and evening, but quiet enough at night to sleep soundly. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was small but serviceable. One room had an ensuite bathroom, the second bedroom's bath was through the sitting room off the kitchen. Not much privacy. Both bathrooms are tiny, and the plumbing is very delicate. The staff were responsive and kind, but plumbing issues were not fully resolved. It's a corporate apartment (most VRBO's in Europe are owned by large real estate companies), and the attention to detail sometimes falls short of the attention to profit. So it goes. All in all, a nice place with an unbeatable location in one of the greatest cities in the world.

la propiedad en mal estado , la puerta principal en mal estado , no generaba seguridad la puerta , las dotaciones del la ducha no las tenia , jabon shampoo , habia un luz en el corredor del apartanento intermnitente qeu jamas se apago y molestaba demasiado en la noche , la ducha de unos de los baños jamas salio agua caliente

Great apartment and location

Wonderful location for seeing the important sites and dining out. Big plus was the Dia grocery store up the street. Apartment was spotless and large. Communications with property manager was great.. always answered quickly and was very helpful. I recommend staying here!

Ubicación. Aunque puede ser un pro o un contra. Localizado EN la plaza de Callao, su ubicación es inmejorable: cafés, librerías, tiendas departamentales, tiendas de abarrotes, bancos, casa de cambio, restaurantes, metro, todo. Pero, si eres de sueño ligero, el ruido puede ser un contra (aunque si bien tiene ventanas herméticas, no aíslan del todo el ruido). Check-in sumamente sencillo (después de las 8-8:30p.m el acceso al edificio es diferente) y excelente comunicación (excepto en horarios no laborables). Tiene terraza directamente a la Plaza del Callao. Recomendable.

Great location apartment in Madrid

Process and communication was easy. The Management qCompany helped to book transportation which was helpful. Only two things to be aware of: 1) if you're looking for a quite place then this is not for you (lot of activities going on and during the night it can be a problem), and 2) after business hours the main entrance can't be used and a side entrance for which you need a key has to be used. Not a big deal but if you check out early (before 8 am) and you are by yourself make sure you make arrangements as you will need the key for the back door to leave the building. Centrally licated with access to a lot of shoppings and restaurants.
