recommendation for best pampering experience
Every employee was just helpful and friendly. Food was very delicious. The pool is great. The couple spa experience was very relaxing. Be aware that there is not much outside the hotel complex. But if you just want the pampering experience the Danna is a clear recommendation.

Flot hotel i skønne omgivelser.
Vi havde 7 dejlige nætter på hotellet. Stor lækker pool og mindre strand. Al personale var utrolig venlige og serviceniveauet var højt. Der er håndklæder ved pool og strand og der bliver delt vand og små goder ud i løbet af dagen. Personalet er altid klar til at være behjælpelig og til at yde høj service. Udsigten over poolen og havet fra viceroy værelset er enormt smukt. Værelset har bl.a. stort badeværelse og værelset størrelse er rigeligt til to personer. I marinaen, som ligger 20 m fra hotellet, er der en lille købmand samt restauranter og barer. Vi spiste en gang på restaurant Privelige i Marinaen, men maden på hotellets restauranter var bedre, i bedre omgivelser og til samme pris som restauranterne i marinaen, så vi spiste på hotellet de øvrige 6 nætter. Wifi på hotellet fungerede fint. Signalet kunne dog godt være lidt svagt en gang imellem ved poolen og på restauranten. Foruden den lille Marina var der ikke meget at se i nærheden af hotellet, men det var heller ikke nødvendigt efter min opfattelse. Du kan nemt komme rundt på Langkawi og tage taxi til ting du vil se. 2 minutters kørelse fra hotellet er Langkawi Cable Car, hvor man kan komme op på toppen af bjerget og se ud over øen. Der er en lille by rundt om liften, med forlystelser mv. Det er turistmekka i af værste grad, men udsigten fra toppen er flot.

Det var et utrolig dejligt ophold vi havde på the Danna Langkawi. Jeg har svært ved, at forestille mig et bedre ressort på Langkawi end dette. Det var utrolig afslappet ophold, hvilket især skyldes at servicen var i orden.

Vidunderligt hotel med top-service. Et af de bedste 5-stjernede vi nogensinde har boet på. Overdådigt morgenmad i rare omgivelser. Skøn poolservice. Fem minutter fra kabelbanen og vandfald ii taxa. Gode restauranter lige ved havnen udenfor. Eneste minus er, at vandet ved stranden er uindbydende plumret.

Elegant hotel
Hotellet er flot og personalet yderst serviceminded. Fantastisk pool og flot beliggenhed. Restauranten har desuden en rigtig god restaurant med stort udvalg. Der er mulighed for at vælge borde såvel ude som inde.

The Danna is a beautiful resort and not to far out of the main town for some night life. It was extremely quiet- which was nice but also we like have a few people around ( it was just the this me of year) we stayed I in a beach Villa and the layout and comfort one of the best we have stayed in. Well designed best bed! Great bathroom and the pool Area amazing !!! Staff so accommodating and the food we fresh and we loved it . We did the cooking class also which was great to learn how to make the classic chicken curry ! Highly recommend This hotel

Everything is great. The staff are helpful and friendly. The pool is wonderful. The Planters restaurant (with server Kenny) a la carte service is Michelin standard (but at much lower cost). Great for kids. Etc

The hotel is has a slightly colonial feel to it. Conveniently sited for the airport which is a 15-20 minute drive. The hotel overlooks a stunning bay and beach and is very private. The food was all very good in all the restaurants and the staff were efficient and friendly. The pool is large and there were generally enough sunbeds although the last few days of our stay over Easter the hotel was noticeably busier and getting a sunbed was a bit of a challenge. The bedroom was spacious and well maintained and a small problem with the shower was quickly resolved.

A very nice hotel with a beautiful pool are and nice beach. The rooms are well-equipped and super clean. The Italian restaurant offers very good food options. We had a a nice spa experience with very well-trained therapists who were also friendly and kind to my daughter. However, from time to time, the service needs improvement. Orders we placed were too often forgotten throughout the stay. The hotel can be recommended, especially when traveling with children.

Out of this world in every respect. The Danna oozes quality, charm, service and class. Stunning facilities and food, staff that couldn't be more helpful. No need to venture out if you don't feel like it. It was a fabulous end in luxury to a 24 day trip .

This is a beautiful hotel and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Our luggage was lost by the airline for 2 days and they couldn't do enough to try and help us track it down and make our stay as comfortable as possible in the meantime. The island is beautiful but has clearly been impacted by COVID, we expected shops and restaurants to be in walking distance of the hotel but in reality your only choices are to eat at the hotel or travel to other nearby hotels to eat in their restaurants if you want a bit of variety. The food in the hotel is excellent, even the buffet is very good quality and plenty of choice to cater for all tastes. The hotel is very popular with families so is not ideal for couples as there is no dedicated adults only pool, meaning you don't get much peace and quiet relaxing by the main pool. The hotel could also do more to be environmentally friendly, eg installing water refill points instead of handing out hundreds of plastic bottles. Overall a lovely stay and definitely recommended if you're visiting Langkawi

While the island has indeed been affected by Covid, we do have many offerings on-site for our discerning guests, be it families, couples or those seeking for a workation. In regards to sustainability, allow us to assure you that we are on the right path – single use plastic being removed from our accommodation, wooden key cards, QR stands in rooms as compared to printed collateral, starting our own water bottling plant and many more initiatives which you’ll be hearing about very soon. Great hotel, People and service excellent. Only criticism is that its away from hustle and bustle. 25 minutes to Chenang Beach etc. However, Grab is cheap so wasn't an issue. Definitely recommend.

Amazing stay in every way
We stayed at the Danna for 5 nights during our trip travelling around Malaysia, it wasn't only the best hotel we stayed in during our stay in Malaysia but its one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. Langkawi is an absolutely beautiful island but the location of the Danna is stunning, hotel in general is really special, lovely rooms, beautiful gardens and pool area with a colonial feel throughout. The staff made it really difficult for us to leave - we would have stayed longer if we could have. A very special mention to Salim - the head of food and drinks who constantly went over and above anything we would have expected (he also has some great restaurant recommendations as well - although the food at the hotel is great). Salim's bar team were all great - we had a lot of fun with Danise (pronounced Denis) each evening - him and his team were brilliant. I highly recommend staying here!

Cozy resort where service is confidently understood and surpasses 5 star. Outstanding attention to guests and service. Maybe the best we’ve ever experienced. The hotel is gorgeous. Beautiful beach and generous pool area. Enough loungers to accommodate everyone. Nice little harbor area on one side of the hotel. Relaxing atmosphere. Excellent buffet breakfast where you can also order ala carte if you wish. Great selection of foods and the dinner option is affordable and worthy. We had dinner twice at the resort over 4 nights and enjoyed it very much. Check in was also outstanding and everything was explained and shown to us upon arrival. They bend over backwards to assist you with anything like directions, activities, general knowledge of the area. The competition on the island cannot compare to the excellent service and attention we received. Thanks to all personnel at the hotel for their kindness and warm genuine smiles and sincere sparkling attitudes. We wish everyone at the hotel our best wishes for a wonderful stay.

The hotel decor and grounds is stunning and the breakfast was very good. The first room we were in smelled moldy but staff were very helpful and got us into another room. Very courteous staff. Unfortunately a lot of restaurants close by closed due to the pandemic but hopefully with time will come back. Beach and pool area is beautiful.
