Cozy Cottage

Great house to stay in. Parking was not that big of a issue( others have stated that pulling out of driveway could be problematic due to traffic but did not have any problems). Convenient location, nice people to deal with!

Not what we expected
Listing said 3 bedrooms. Unless I missed it, it failed to mention that on the 2nd floor, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other. The air conditioning unit is at the top of the stairway before walking into the bedroom. To cool both rooms, the connecting door must remain open. So if you want privacy in that 3rd bedroom, there is none. The first floor air was on when we arrived, but the second floor air was not. It was sweltering hot. Although this home has tons of potential, it really needs some updating (new carpeting, new bathroom) and a good, thorough cleaning. Lots of soap and mildew buildup in the bathroom. It could use an exterminator as well, particularly in the area of the 2nd floor "closet". Ants, bugs and moths were coming out of it. The location was great as far as the area goes, but it is on a pretty busy street. The hum of the air conditioners cancelled the road noise. In the cooler months, that's probably not the case. The deck in the back provided a nice sitting area in the evening. I really don't like to write a bad review, but I rely on reviews when choosing a place to stay. I did with this one too. The reviews were good (4.9), so I was quite perplexed when we arrived and saw the home. As I said, it has so much potential but really needs some TLC and updates.

Great cozy home
Had a wonderful stay with my wife and 2 year old son. House was very clean, they left us a fresh loaf of bread and homemade peanut butter which is a kind gesture. One small recommendation would be to upgrade the TVs to smart tvs to help entertain the little one for extended period of times since the current setup was a little tricky to figure out (which unfortunately we couldn’t but not a big deal). There were some kids toys to keep him entertained but I’m sure having a smart tv would benefit a lot of people. Would definitely recommend for a stay being at a great location and near lots of things to do.

Seeing Moses in Amish Country
As part of our 50th wedding Anniversary celebration we traveled to the area to see Moses at Sight and Sound, which is "just down the road" from this cozy cottage. We enjoyed the ambiance of being in Amish country. Great food all around and the clip clop of horses hooves pulling buggies right outside the front door!

Girl’s weekend trip
Overall our stay at this cottage house went very well and everything mentioned online was correct. It’s in a pretty good location, you just have to be patient when backing up out of the driveway. Everything was very clean and was nicely decorated.

Main floor bedroom suitable for 2 guests but the upstairs bedrooms should be listed for children as the steps in the stairway is very narrow and could be dangerous for adults.

Cozy cottage
The house was cozy, perfectly sized for the three of us. It was very neat, nicely decorated, and very thoughtfully stocked. The only negative I can even think of is the TV does not allow for logging on to streaming services, but I don't even think we turned the TV on! We kept ourselves very entertained sightseeing, playing games, and reading in the sunlight on the back deck. The frequent buggies driving by were a delightful touch as well :) loved our stay and I would absolutely stay here again!

Relaxing Stay
We just got home from a great stay at this beautiful little house. Everything we needed was right there, there were towels for the bathroom, clean comfortable beds and bedding, and a kitchen with all the needed equipment to prepare meals. This was a great house to stay in with a family- my daughter even used the supplied pack and play for her dolls. There are toys in the cabinet in the living room that came in handy too. Sunday morning was my favorite part- by 6AM there were a lot of Amish buggies going down the road. I went out to the deck with a cup of coffee and watched. The house is very close to the main road, and you can hear the traffic- but any negatives about that were greatly outweighed by listening to the horses as they went past the house. Another big benefit was the use of the washer and dryer. It's so nice to come home and not have tons of laundry waiting for you. I would definitely recommend, and will plan to go back to this home the next time we are in the area.

Cute little house... close to everything in Lancaster
We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful little home. It is located within a couple of miles of the Sight and Sound and the American Music Theater's. It is also very close to outlet shopping stores. The house has plenty of dishes, cookware and appliances. We really didn't need to bring anything but our groceries! Yes, it's located on a busy road... but we had no trouble getting safely out of the driveway! The host is wonderful, and we enjoyed the locally made peanut butter and bread she brought to us.

Cute little old house
The house is decorated nicely and it was close to the Sight and Sound Theatre. I was not pleased with broken pieces off the washing machine, very limited cable tv, dirty sock, candy paper, and cookies i found under the couch and upstairs beds or the cold showers.

A must stay
Awesome little house close to shops, restaurants, Putt putt and the sight and sound theater. Rooms and beds were extremely comfortable. House was very clean. Only downside was having only one small bathroom to share with everyone. I would definitely stay here again or recommend to friends who are coming to the area.

A cute little place
Adorable little "cottage" feel. Hosts were available to answer questions and made a repair when it was convenient for us. The peanut butter spread and bread was awesome! We even bought some from the local seller. There were two minor downsides: it is small with only one bathroom and the street out front is extremely busy, but the location makes it worth it.

Just Right!
We brought my mother here for Sight and Sound, and it was just right for our little group. Just up the road from the theater and so many choices for eating! Having that little extra space for dining in and playing games was so worth it. Would definitely book again and will recommend to all planning a trip to the area!

Cute cottage
The cottage is cozy and decorated very nicely. Everything you need is there and it is about a mile to the many, many Rt. 30 restaurants and shops. The furniture shown in the listing is not the furniture in the living room. There is a little sofa there now which was a little uncomfortable for us (we are in our 60's). The beds are comfortable and it's great to have a washer and dryer in the unit so we didn't have to pack so much. We were there in December so didn't use the deck in the back but it will be nice for summer visits.

Quaint and Comfortable
A small group of friends traveled in to visit the theater and stay here two nights. The property owner responded instantly when we had trouble with the keypad entry. The cottage interior was very clean, with modern farmhouse decor, comfortable beds, a new couch ( different from the one pictured) and plenty of space for us four girls. The exterior is a bit rough around the edges yet, the traffic a bit loud at times through the night, but we would certainly look to stay here again.

This sweet cottage had everything we needed for our week. Angie provided laundry soap and because our stay was during a heat wave, we really appreciated that feature. We were close to all the sightseeing we wanted and thoroughly enjoyed the Amish markets close by.

Charming House Close to Everything
My mother, daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this house in Lancaster. The house was easy to find and location was close to everything we had planned. Check-in/out was easy. The house is small, but the layout made very good use of the space. It was very clean, and I loved the decoration style. It was perfect for the three of us. I am a light sleeper, and there was some road noise at night, but with some white noise playing I slept well. The host was very accommodating and friendly. Her thoughtful treat of delicious homemade bread and spread was my favorite part of the stay! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Lancaster.

Dance Comp Lancaster
We came to Lancaster for my daughter's dance competition. This cottage was so cute and comfy and a great alternative to having 5 people crammed into a hotel room. We had some trouble figuring out the front door light switch and how to work the remotes at first but eventually figured it out. The beds were very comfy, we slept great. And it was nice to have a kitchen to eat in when every restaurant in the area had a two hour wait. All the dance mom's staying at the local hotels were jealous. Also, the owner left a delicious treat of Amish bread and peanut butter which was very nice.

Perfect cottage
This is the second time in 8 months we've stayed here. Both times for a ladies weekend. It's the perfect spot for us. Allowed us to have a homey feel instead of being cooped up in a hotel.
