"We stayed for 2 nights in a very small double standard room. No storage space,just a bar about a metre long to hang a couple of items on and small bedside drawers .There was a complimentary breakfast provided and tea making facilities but only a tiny stool so breakfast had to be eaten sitting on the bed. All that being said the room was clean and the bed . In the shower room there is a small towel rail but only big enough for hand towels,we had to drape the wet bath towels over the shower door....

"Vi sov på værelset ved udluftningen fra køkkenet. Den slukkes om natten med starter når du vågner - så det er ikke motiverende at åbne vinduet eller heller for trafikstøj. Aftensmaden er meget jævn og kedelig. Morgenmaden var fin. Bad om en plads ved vinduet til morgenmaden, som var defineret, da vi ankom som de første gæster mens andre gæster ikke var kommet, men fik nej - det gav bestemt ikke mening for mig - da jeg som gæsten, har et ønske, som kan lade sig gøre uden besvær for andre."

"Overall a very good Hotel However two issues which explain my revised rating. On the first night there was a very loud fire alarm at 1.45am which lasted for about 10 minutes. We had a room at the very top of the building so in the absence of any Hotel staff we dressed and made our way down to reception area and were recommended for safety to stand outside in the rain! "Property was very clean and comfortable and very convenient location. Stay was very enjoyable. Only issue was we were short of one towel, instructions for the convection hob would have been very helpful, a better selection of cooking saucepans and utensils would have been nice and we were unaware that parking was only free between 6pm and 8am."

"This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

"Annexe to owner's house. We made the best of our stay, travelled around the lakes & enjoyed the hot tub. Property is clean and tidy. However, it seems to have been neglected of late, there are some easy changes which would have made a huge difference to the quality & comfort of our stay: Key code sent just a few hrs before check in at 4pm (we were already travelling & concerned we wouldn't be able to get in on arrival; a number of light bulbs need replacing (eg only ONE of the 4 cooker hood...

"This is an excellent property, clean and welcoming, full range of modern appliances, internet access etc.Very comfortable and we had a great time.My only niggle is that there is no coffee machine/cafetière so no coffee in the morning.. if this could be added the house would be perfect.."
