Dejligt hotel med fantastisk personale
Dejligt hotel med fantastisk personale og rigtig pæne værelser. Hotellet har mange skønne faciliteter bl.a. en rigtig hyggelig whisky/vin-bar og god morgenmad. Stille og meget renlige værelser med meget høj komfort. Centralt placeret i Johannesburg og nemt at komme frem og tilbage til. Personalet var især meget servicemindede og søde. Vi kommer helt sikkert igen, hvis vi får muligheden for det!

Perféct for a short business stay
Very good service almost a little bit too much with all the waiters (5-10 persons) coming to my table and asking how I am doing.Facilities are perfect nice pool and restaurant area. Fitness center adequate.Hotel located on a very big shopping center. surrounding area not too exiting.

Davinci er blevet mit favorit hotel i Sandton har boet der mange gange nu og det holder standarden. Morgen mad og internet er inkluderet i prisen hvilket er et plus da det sjældent er tilfældet i det område. alt i alt et rigtig godt hotel sammenlignet med hvad man eller har af muligheder i sandton

Har boet på Davinci et par gange nu og det er et super hotel med venlig personale, moderne værelse, morgenmad samt internet includet i prisen hvilket ellers koster en formue i Syd Afrika. Placeringen er god mht tog fra lufthavnen og direkte adgang til Sandton mall

The hotel didnt seem secure as Sandton Mall foot traffic was in/out of the front doors/lobby. At check-in, I wasn’t offered a room upgrade. Arriving to my room, I found significant amounts of mold on the walls of the shower. I made the staff aware and was told that I must speak with the morning staff. The next day, I met with Benedict, he was smug and replied with “Ok, do you want us to clean it?” I advised that the room/shower needs to be cleaned, I don’t want to stay in a room with visible mold in the shower. Benedict immediately seemed irritated that I was requesting an alternate solution. He offered another room whose bathroom was in the middle of the floor. Having no hotel staff assistance to review the rooms with me, I came back to advise that I didn’t want the room. Benedict stated “I can offer a room w/ a balcony” this new room was smaller than the corner exec. room that I booked. However, I no longer wanted to engage w/ Benedict’s unprofessional attitude, lack of empathy, and dismissive behavior. I was forced to repack all of my belongings, move them from the 7th floor to the 6th floor. The bed in the room was terribly uncomfortable as it was a relatively thin spring mattress. The sheets, duvet & pillow case all had stains, so I requested that the linens be changed. During my stay, I could smell heavy cigarette smoke coming through the vents in my room. Thank you to Solley, Bellman & Sticks, Waiter, they were kind, always willing to help & tried to make things better

I can assure you that your comments were shared with all the relevant management and the necessary corrective action will be taken as a matter of urgency.The safety of our guests are of utmost importance to us and even though the hotel is situated inside a shopping mall, it is completely separate elevators that would need to be taken to get to the hotel rooms. There is always Security present on the Reception level and each hotel room floor is secured with a glass door that can only be accessed using your room key, provided your room is on that actual floor.I would also like to apologize for the fact that we could not offer you a complimentary upgrade for your stay - we do our best to assist Expedia Premium VIP guests with complimentary upgrades, but it is unfortunately not always possible due to the high occupancy in the hotel.I have asked our Executive Housekeeper to also have a look at the mattress in the 6th floor room as all the mattresses in the hotel are exactly the same and were replaced not too long ago.Please accept my apologies again for your stay and the treatment you received. Great location and above average hotel. But disappointed by 2 things: 1- at check-in, I specifically took time to mention that I booked through Expedia and asked if there were any upgrades available. The clerk didn’t seem eager to engage and was quick to say there weren’t any executive suites available. I had take the time to check online to see if they had any suites available and saw junior suites available. Checked the following day and still saw suites available. So I’m disappointed that I picked this hotel because I’m a gold Expedia member and didn’t get any benefits from my membership. 2- at check in, I asked for an extra bed for my 8 year old daughter. This was around 5:30 pm. We left our room to eat around 7 pm and came back at 10 pm and still no bed in our room. Called the front seat and was told they would follow-up and get the bed to the room. Called 20 minutes later and told they will look into it and get back to me asap. At 11 pm, I had to take my pj’s off and get dressed to physically go to the front desk to confront them. I was the. Told they only had one person working in maintenance in the evening and that person was busy with another task and he would come bring me a bed as soon as possible. Around 11:15 pm, bes was finally brought. The next day, told someone at the customer service desk my ordeal after being told there was no one from mgmt to talk to. The lady apologized profusely and got me a bottle of wine and a plate desserts for my room. Nice gesture.

I would also like to apologize for the fact that we could not offer you a complimentary upgrade for this stay - it is based on availability and unfortunately on the morning of your arrival we did not have availability in an upgraded room for the 3 night duration of your stay. I believe the team did, however place the bottle of red wine in your room prior to your arrival. High standards as always!
The check-in was quick and easy, the room was clean and comfortable as always. The hotel is close to Mandela Square and Sandton City which makes it the ideal place to choose when coming to Sandton.
