"Great calm location away from the busy tourist areas of Kyoto, very charming area with nice little shops, places to eat and coffee to enjoy. Staff is very friendly and help, the cafe at the hotel itself is great and has friendly prices too, there’s great coffee available (you have to and it yourself) freely in the skate kitchen.
