The hotel isnt perfect, but it was everything we dreamed of, when visiting scotland for the first time. Authentic, with lovely rooms and settings for our vacation. Especially the 1st floor was perfect for downtime relaxation, playing games or reading a book. I will hope to return one day!"

"Great location for the job i was on, everything i needed and very well priced compared with others around the area, On street parking right outside hotel and never felt worried about leaving van on the street, food was excellent and a local shop within walking distance definitely will return when back in the area"

Bathrooms are not on-suite however their are adequate facilities to be shared amongst the rooms so this wasn’t an issue for me.
Value for money is second to none.
The rooms are clean, tidy and spacious enough for 1-2 travellers.
Downstairs their is a kitchen and eating area (multiple booths) so you can prepare and cook your own food.
Not much to do in the area, with a pub nearby and some local...

The young lady at the reception desk was full of smiles and let us borrow a uk plug for our chargers! We only brought America plugs! Also, Sara Jean in the restaurant was absolutely wonderful! She made me feel very welcome and gave us some good advice for what to do in York! It was such a great experience! I recommend if you’re looking for a quiet spot out in the country! "
