Perfekt beliggenhed
Hotellets beliggenhed var perfekt med masser af shops og restauranter lige ved. Selve værelset var lidt slidt, men fint, men der manglede måske lidt af de ting som også følger med et fire-stjernet hotel i Europa, såsom badekåbe, slippers (gulvet var jernkoldt), småting i badeværelset mm. Pool-området var hyggeligt lige ud til floden. Vi fik dog en ærgerlig afslutning på opholdet, da vi ikke kunne få morgenmad på hotellet den sidste dag, da man ventede en stor gruppe, samtidig med at man havde gæster udefra, så der ikke ikke var plads til hotellets gæster i restauranten. Vi fik at vide, at vi kunne vente tre kvarter til 1 time, men da vi skulle afsted måtte vi skippe morgenmaden. Ellers et godt ophold.

Not a hotel for solo travellers
I was really disappointed with my stay at Riverside Hotel. Travelling alone, I booked this hotel to be close to Las Olas, and having the opportunity to dine at the hotel restaurants and bars, but obviously, the Riverside is not a fan of solo travellers. I got what must be the worst room in the hotel - right above valet parking, in front of both the elevator and ice room, making for a lot of noise and disturbance. The cleaning of the room was horrible, with the bath tub not being cleaned and even had pubic hair left over from the previous occupant. One of the days, housekeeping forgot to clean the room, and I had to track them down at 5pm. Also, I was shocked that the hotel charged $7 for a bottle of water. The worst experience however was at the Boathouse restaurant, where I wanted a drink, but with no seats available at the bar, I asked for table outside, where I was told that "we do not set a table for one". I will not be returning to the Riverside after this, and I cannot recommend the hotel, even though the location is great, and the room itself was nice.

NOT a eco friendly hotel but comfortable.
Great cosy hotel with great location! Old and does need some renovation and care. Comfortable beds. If you csre about green profile this is NOT the hotel to stay! Aircondition running while fire i. The fireplace:(( heaters outside although is is warm. Change og Towers every day! Also the unused. The pool should be cleaned! Was very dirty.

It was kind of unique. Old fashion building style but super clean. Elevators were renovated top charts. Front desk staff amable to theirs limited, without exaggerating. The only negative accommodations for me personally was the air condioneted. And that is because i have mild arthritis. Pain in my shoulders, I have to shut it down right away.

Property has friendly, accommodating front desk staff, however the unusual presence of locks on everything from ice machines to elevators makes any remaining charm within this outdated property diminish. Lighting is extremely bright in all the wrong areas of the room, bathroom lights flicker, rooms smell of paint, nothing looks new. Parts of the hotel feel more like an abandoned psych ward while others are more charming.

The property is historic and beautifully located next to river. However, for an upscale hotel, while it has all the potential to world class . . . our room was noisy, no bathrobes and not memorable.

Fantastic central Hotel right in the heart of everything. Felt very safe, near everything you need great restaurants on the strip and wonderful riverside right behind hotel where we took two different trips in one day. Highly recommend and will definitely return.

Great location downtown Ft Lauderdale on the river and Las Olas blvd with all the restaurants/shops. Lots of history with this old hotel which is cool however, we were disappointed by our room that was slightly run down. We booked 7 months in advance, and I have gold status with Expedia so this did not help at all with this hotel. Great lobby area and delicious breakfast at the Wild Sea restaurant. Not sure I would stay there again because of the low quality of our room.

Stayed with you many times now and always was in the tall tower. Rooms and decor was dated but clean and Floridian which we like. This past stay we were in the lower tower (3 floors). I assume this was the old original hotel? Room was sub par for the money and does not compare to the tall tower. Room issues: very dated, only mirror in room is in bathroom, no shelf or cupboard or counter in bathroom, room decor, etc. basically, this wing needs to be off the market or offered at a discount. If someone stayed with you the first time and was in that wing, they may not ever come back.

Our room was fantastic. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the location of this hotel. There was a miscommunication between the front desk and the valet station re booking transportation to the cruise ship terminal. The valet parking people rectified the situation for us and we had no problems getting to the cruise ship. I would stay at this property again.

Property was lovely. We stayed on the 9th floor and there was only one working elevator. Had to wait a while to be able to take luggage down to check out in the morning. The location on Las Olas Blvd was convenient to dining and nightlife. River view was nice too.

This hotel was an awful experience. It is basically a glorified motel & anyone paying anything over $ night is being robbed blind. The only good thing I can say about it is at least the sheets & towels appeared clean. If I went over everything wrong about this crappy place, this review would be very long. Just take my word & do not book a room here-keep searching!
