The house was good, location was great. The only issue was the rooms were quite hot and the air units to keep the rooms cool did not always stay on or connected.

Perfect spot for rest!

Our family came in on a 2:40am flight and took the short drive to Teras home. After sleeping in I was very pleased that coffee is stocked in the home along with sugar :) Plus she had candy and other snacks available too! The beds were very comfortable and the LR/Kitchen area was also a great spot to lounge and talk. We talked about coming back when we can see the Northern Lights. This is an easy and great place to stay!

great spot and great deck on the river

Just know when it states air conditioning, that isn't for the entire unit, just the master suite--a bit confusing, and YES, it does get hot there. the lower bedrooms are cooler but the main living area can be uncomfortable, especially if you are cooking. we did not spend lots of time there, so it was tolerable, if annoying. otherwise a great spot--just communicate the details a bit better, thanks

Winter Alaska trip

We had a fabulous stay. This property was very close to the airport, we were able to get grocery and restaurant delivery, and we saw the northern lights from the porch! Our tour to Denali even picked us up and dropped us off at the door. Great stay for a family of 5.

Delightful Stay at Chena Riverhouse South Suite

This lovely home was the perfect home base for our week in Fairbanks. It was perfectly located near the start of the 2025 Iditarod, area dogsledding, area aurora watching, and near the 2025 world ice art sculpture championships.

Surprise visit

I brought 15 family members to Fairbanks to spend time with our brother and uncle. It was a surprise for him! This location was perfect. We were able to cook and eat meals together, play games late into the evening and enjoy the hot tub and Aurora together. Tera was geat!!

Post cruise northern lights trip

We loved everything about our stay. The house was comfortable for our group of 5 The hosts went out of their way for us by providing coffee and snacks and other items. The house was spotless and well maintained and had a great view of the Chena River. We hired a tour to take us to see the northern lights and because our location was so great they picked us up right at the house. Highly recommend staying here. By the way we got a great northern lights show

Northern Light trip

Short stay in Fairbanks

Wonderful property on the river in Fairbanks. Clean, comfortable and well stocked. Owners left "treats" for us at check in that were much appreciated. We loved sitting on the lanai with wine looking at the river. The beds were very comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Chena River Home

Wonderful place to stay. The home fit our family of 7 perfectly. Very clean with many amenities. Coffee station, bottled water, snacks were appreciated. Laundry products also!! Bobby and Tera were a pleasure to work with. Thank you!

This house was very clean and so well stocked! The location was great for what we wanted to do while in Fairbanks. It was so nice to come back and sit by the river. Beds were comfortable. We really appreciated all the personal touches left for us. Would highly recommend!

Great stay

Our stay at this house was great. The check in process was smooth and the host was very fast with replies and communication. The extra touches like snacks, water, etc were very appreciated. The view of the river from the house was also very beautiful. The space was very nice and rooms were comfortable. Highly recommend for a traveling family who wants some quiet and comfort in Fairbanks.

Great view

Host was not very accommodating to drop out luggage. Very rude on the phone. Property was clean and location was good. It would be great if the patio had a cover so you could enjoy sitting outside even while raining.

Our Alaska Vacation

Before starting our Alaska Land Cruise with Princess, we went to Fairbanks early and stayed here. This house is well-maintained and highly recommended! It was my wife and I, my daughter and her two children and the other grandparents. Plenty of room and very close to all to do in Fairbanks! Enjoyed our stay before our cruise! Kids enjoyed the games and puzzles! Thanks!

Great get away

The place was cozy, felt just like home . Very nice bedrooms heated and time sensored garage was a huge perk ! This place had very nice furniture _ washer dryer , all the amenities you need . Well stocked from hangers, fans to kitchen supplies. Beautiful view. Great outdoor space. Tvs were a bit of a frustration. Nice bathrooms . The place is very clean and tera was easy to work with ! She was very responsive and very accommodating..

Ladies only trip

Everything at the property was just a described. We got into Fairbanks at 8:30, so by the time we got luggage and the rental car it was 10 pm. It was so nice to have the snacks at the house as we hadn't eaten. The view of the river was so peaceful. It gave you a feeling of country but was close to everything. The microwave quite one evening. I texted Tara the next morning as we were leaving for the day. She resolved the problem within the hour. It was a cozy, comfortable place to stay.

This is a great place. It's on the river with a nice view. Even with other units in the house it's quiet and we felt like the only ones there. They've thought of everything from snacks to two different ways to make coffee, a hairdryer and other things not usually found in vacation homes. It's a perfect launching point to get to Denali, Chena etc

Lovely immaculate home. Pretty overlooking Chema River.

Lovely home. Well stocked including extras for snacks and good coffee! Good communication with Tera. Quiet home. Surrounding neighborhood as you drive in and house next door a bit aged; but home is lovely inside. Great location to airport for a quick drive for early departures. Upstairs Master suite is perfect and has nice river view. Two other bedrooms are in the lowest basement area and share a bathroom. These two bedrooms have a window with no view. Thanks!

Overall this was a very nice place to stay. Well stocked with snacks and beverages. Warm and inviting. Beautiful view from deck. The only concern was that the room with the Murphy bed was not comfortable for 2 adults. Otherwise very very nice

Nice view on the river. Okay neighborhood. Host left snacks and water that was appreciated. Only negatives are carpet on stairs needs cleaned or replaced and patio furniture not usable as cushions soaked.

Perfect Overnight After Evening Flight Arrival

Located 10 minutes from the airport, this was the perfect place for us to stay since we had two families, three kids, arrived late one night and departed early the next morning for the train. Lyft was easy and reasonably priced to get to and from here. The best part of the house is the water front deck. We saw numerous boats motor past us until 11 pm and even could see the planes coming and going to the airport, all without any noise annoyance.

Perfect Getaway

The house was everything you advertise and more. The location was perfect. I love the layout of the bedrooms; it gives everyone their own privacy. The place was very clean and beautifully decorated. Communication with the owner is quick and responsive. We spent hours on the deck, enjoying the water view and beautiful weather. The special added touch of having waters and snacks just took it over the top. This place is amazing and I am so happy we had the chance to enjoy it.

Great stay!

Property was very clean on arrival, with no problems getting in. It was a very relaxing place to be and the patio overlooking the river is terrific. It made it easy to explore the Fairbanks area both in the city and out hiking. Would definitely stay here again.

Shocked no propane bq learned how to use briquettes. Swifter does not work to clean floors a bigger dust pan would be easier wanted to leave floors clean as we found them. Your property is clean quiet and central. Thank you for letting us stay

Best view in Fairbanks!!

We just finished a weekend stay and the house was perfect!! All of our family have commented how CLEAN it was! And the owners have thought of every little extra. Great extras and soaps. We ate every meal out on the deck watching the beautiful water. It was also close to everything!!! Highly recommend the discovery river cruise… loved it and so close to the house! Easy to cook but if you go out… plan for reservations. Long lines at 6:30pm. We would 100% stay here again! Beds super comfy… plenty of space… great privacy… incredible view!!!

Chena River Home

Very nice clean home, comfortable beds, some snacks and water provide at check-in. Nice view, saw many swans and ducks on the river. Only negative I could say would be that from the picture was that it like you walk down to the river from the house but there is a drop off. Not ideal for kids to play off the deck.

Perfect stay

We came all the way from Québec Canada and the property was exactly as the photos and description. It was really great to have a base of condiments, seasonning and sauce to cook with. The host is really easy to get in touch with.

Holiday getaway

A massive ice storm shut down air travel from the PNW over holiday this year. We didn’t actually make it up to Fairbanks to enjoy the property or winter season. That said, Tera was an absolute delight and went above/beyond in helping us out during the refund process. We’ll plan to book again when the timing is right. Thank you again Tera!

Amazing location!

The most amazing family vacation location! We took our children, their spouses and our grandchildren on a family vacation to Fairbanks. This house was the perfect location for everything! The river not only was the perfect spot for the guys to fish but my grandson was the first to point out a bald eagle, beavers building a damn and we sat on the back deck watching nature! Close to the airport and shopping. The house has very comfortable amenities and the host was very attentive. The only negative and it is a small one, is that the kitchen is not big. We definitely couldn’t have more than a couple of people in at a time.
