"We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. The rooms are big, and nicely furnished. As others have mentioned, the host has provided several amenities. It's in a very nice, safe neighborhood but isn't really walkable to the waterfront unless you're in very good shape. The hills are quite steep and we didn't see anyone walking up them. We look forward to staying here again some time."

"Mavillette was beautiful even if foggy at times. The nearby beach was conveniently close and a lot of fun at high tide and low tide.The rental home was very spacious, modern and welcoming.We saw deer, pheasants and ospreys on the property.Rena was wonderful to deal with, thank you for everything!"

"Perfect place to stay—very comfortable and well-equipped room, with modern shower and kitchenette etc., clean BBQ, and a nice deck with good chairs overlooking the river or to look at the stars at night. Seeing hummingbirds at the plants outside was an unexpected bonus! "

"Really enjoyed the deck and view from this house, and the inside is very nicely appointed with cute and clean furnishings. However, some of the necessities weren't entirely functional. I'm tall (6') and I repeatedly hit my head on the track lighting down the middle of the kitchen ceiling. The lighting in the main bedroom (which is charged with a cable and you have to unscrew the lightbulbs to charge them, and they're turned on by remote) didn't really work very well. "This property is unbelievable for it's location, charm, comfort, and owner. I have stayed at many VRBO properties and this is, hands down, the best one I have stayed at. With a lighthouse and beach within walking distance, and overlooking a working harbor across the street, it is absolutely the ideal for experiencing the best of this area of Nova Scotia. The owner has amazing communication and provided an exemplary and low-stress experience. "

"We travel as a group of 8 ( 4 brothers and their wives ) for golfing every year and decided we wanted to stay in digby. We stayed at this property and it was perfect for us. There wss actually 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms so everyone had their own space . The patio was large and plenty of chairs. The kitchen had everything we needed . We had a great time here."

"Terrific time in Kemptville, NS at this accommodation - Moose Cabin - Golden Forest Lodge. I recently had a three day vacation there with my 14 year old Son and his Father. We had a great experience from the moment we arrived. We were greeted upon arrival, the owner/host went out of his way to accommodate us and we were treated very kindly throughout the entire stay. "We cannot say enough good things about this property. The house was beautifully renovated and extremely clean. The bedrooms were spacious and very comfortable. The living room had recliners for all, a big hit with our family! There were real plants and flowers both inside and out which I personally really appreciated.
