"A great location to explore Kyoto. We had the Bamboo Room (Take) which was huge, more than enough space for the average family with two bedrooms. The kitchenette was useful, and the washer-dryer in the room was a convenient surprise in the middle of our holiday! The breakfast option is outsourced and whilst convenient there are other options nearby. "

"Great and welcoming staff, clean rooms, and awesome onsen and shower area. The futons on the floor were comfortable, could use slightly more padding tho but still slept very well. Overall I’d give this a 9.5/10. Also great location "

"I made the right choice to stay here. One of the best experience I had in Kyoto, I wished I booked more than a night. The staff were very welcoming and courteous, they gave me a 5 star service. The room, actually it was more of a suite, was clean. I felt like I was in a different world when I was there because of the set up/ambiance. They also have a great location, just right beside the shrine. Just don’t bring heavy luggage because of the stairs, I felt bad that they carried my heavy luggage...

"Sjovt for en vesterlænding at bo på traditionel japansk vis, og velegnet med sivmåtte-gulv for vores baby at bevæge sig på. Dog kan prisen synes lidt i den høje ende, da oplevelsen er tættere på et hostel end et hotel."

"Great location between tourist sites but not in a touristy area. Good choices for neighborhood restaurants. It is ideal location and size for family to four. Six is possible but a little tight. Morning run to imperial palace gravel ground is a big plus. "
