"We stayed 2 nights at this ryokan. It was a real japanese experience. Nice and very kind staff. The rooms are great, large, and decorated in autentic japanese style. We were welcomed with tea. The service is in top. You sleep well on the futon. We had breakfast included, very japanese but also very delicious. However, there are certain dishes that may be difficult for an European to eat in the morning. They speak some english. We can highly recommend a stay at Kagihei"

"Beautiful Ryokan inside and out. We were met with very friendly staff, and the check in was quick and efficient. Our pampered backs were not used to the Japanese futons, but this wasn't a problem at all. Sawaya supplied extra layer of futons without question. Sawaya offers seperated public baths in the mornings and evenings. Great way to relax after a long day of walking through Kyoto."

"Fantastic stay at the Kinoe. The place is beautiful and it provides a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The Japanese-style breakfast was very tasty and abundant, beautifully served. We did not book the dinner. The staff is very kind and helpful. The location is excellent for exploring the many sights in the area. We only stayed for one night at the end of our stay in Kyoto, as we wanted to try the ryokan experience.I can highly recommend this place."

"Very Nice ryokan with friendly staff and a comfortable room. There Are futons to sleep on and a little table with traditional low chairs including a Tea set. There is a choice of japanese or western style breakfast, which Are both of good standard. Furthermore, the ryokan offers a Tea ceremony every morning and different activities or information meetings every Day. All in All a Nice place that we would recommend to friends and family. "
