"When I booked the room, I was promised an Ocean View Room. When I got to the room, there was a view of a small hotel pool - but no ocean view. I went to the front desk to register my complaint. They said the room was considered an ocean view room. (?!?!?!?!?) They offered to change my room 2 days into my 4 night stay, but at that point we were already unpacked and settled in. They informed me that the room change would also mean our belongings would need to be out of our room by 11am and that...

"The hotel had my reservation, so easy check in and check out. No billing issues. Multiple pools (the rooftop one is for adults only), hot tubs and beach is 10 steps outside the property. The gym was nice but gets crowded at peak times. Aleta restaurant has long wait times to receive food. The hotel issued new room keys without verifying IDs or any information (big safety concern), the balcony doors don’t lock, and the last night I could hear upstairs guests VERY loudly. "

"Got a 1 bedroom villa in building #2 with ocean view, large balcony and that was great but the room itself smelled old and moldy, very dark kitchen. It was also noisy in the mornings (construction, restaurant, maintenance). Had to change rooms due to original room wasn't clean properly. Second room could have been cleaned better as well (bathroom sinks, kitchen sink, dishes had a strong smell of cascade detergent) Upon check in, was asked to join some hyatt club presentation the next day...

"We stayed at Playa Grande over the Easter weekend, 2026. Overall the stay was great. The room was spacious and located conveniently next to the pool area, easy access to the beach. The room condition wasn’t the greatest: dirty bathtub with broken shower that kept running hot water. The shower was extremely challenging to regulate. The A/C was not working properly.
