Overpriced and Overwhelming – Disappointing First Stay
I would not return to this property. For the price point and the JW Marriott brand name, the experience was significantly lacking in both service and basic room maintenance.
The Highlights (or lack thereof):
Zero Orientation: This is a massive property, and as a first-time guest, I felt completely lost. The staff were "kind enough" when I spoke to them, but there was no effort to explain the amenities or help me navigate the hotel. I felt ignored for most of my stay.
Room Issues: I specifically booked and paid for a Panoramic View, but what I received was not panoramic.
To make matters worse, the bathroom had a strange, unpleasant smell, and the toilet did not flush properly.
Dining: I had dinner at one of the on-site restaurants, and the food was honestly not to my liking.
Value: When you pay these rates, you expect a seamless, luxury experience. Instead, I felt like I was just a number in a big, confusing building.
Bottom line: Between the room issues and the lack of guidance for new guests, the value simply isn't there. I’ll be looking elsewhere for my next trip to Los Cabos.
