Fantastic stay! This apartment is the second floor of a chocolate shop that closes at 7 pm so it’s quiet and cozy. The property was so cute, so delightful, and right on the corner of what feels like the city square in a cute little town in middle America. Within two blocks of your outdoor private staircase are restaurants of every kind. Each one very good in its own way, tapas, barbecue, brunch, Mexican, pizza, burgers, coffee—every single dining establishment is worth a visit. Quiet at night and a bustling, happy place during the day. Just what I like. It’s a 10.

Host was very informative and kind. Location was great. Floors are slopped (125 year old property) so both my husband and I experienced dizziness as we walked around. The actual apartment is charming, original hardwood floors, Victorian charm which is my favorite. A few amenities could have been improved- drinking water, more wash cloths and charged battery lights, but we appreciated the property and its unique charm.

Gosh, where do I even begin? If I could move into this charming apartment permanently, I would do it in a heartbeat! I stayed here while attending a trade show and was looking for a cozy getaway; this place absolutely surpassed my expectations. It feels like a beautiful Italian villa merged with a rustic, artisan touch. Truly a dream! On top of the amazing vibes and coziness of the space, the owners were absolutely fabulous. Not only were they kind, but they made sure I felt safe and offered me incredible recommendations for the area. I absolutely will be coming back to this lovely little place!

The home was charming and centrally located. Very comfortable and spacious room. Tastefully appointed with all the conveniences needed. Hosts were over the top friendly and helpful with suggestions of where to eat and what to do. Situated above a chocolatier so how can that be a bad thing. Would definitely rebook if in the area again.

Perfect location for our stay, right in the middle of lively Bishop Arts. 3 coffee shops open early within 2 blocks, we love that! We noticed and appreciated the high quality sheets and linens, and the super comfy couch and bed. If you love chocolate, be sure to try some from the chocolate shop below - it's outstanding! We would highly recommend this property.

I really enjoyed my stay in this cozy and warm apartment! It is situated directly above the Dude, Sweet Chocolate chocolate shop and overlooks a vibrant intersection in the Bishop Arts neighborhood. The location couldn't be more perfect! The property is exactly as described—a charming, beautifully decorated space with so many thoughtful touches and amenities. The neighborhood is filled with amazing restaurants representing a variety of cuisines as well as unique shops. Since I just relocated for a new job in Dallas, it was great to stay in a unique place that helped me get to know the city. The host was fantastic — super friendly, responsive, and provided me with clear instructions and great local recommendations. Her attention to detail really made my stay seamless and special. The apartment itself was just wonderful - all the comforts and amenities one could ask for. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was very clean. The apartment is located in a 125 year-old house, so it feel like you've been transported to a different time while staying there. I can't recommend this rental highly enough!

Charming Property in the heart of Bishop Arts

Katherine gave great directions for getting into the property. We saw her working the next day and had a great chat, so communication was easy. She made she we felt like we can reach her if we needed anything, but we didn't want for anything. The property itself is located steps from great shopping and dining. It's integrated so well into the neighborhood, it gives you a feeling of belonging.

Great communication and recommendations for places to eat! In the heart of the Bishop Art District and comes with complimentary chocolate from their chocolate shop on the first floor! Comfortable bed, great shower, 2 TVs, a/c… checked all my boxes! Very friendly hosts.

5 Stars - A Charming Gem in the Heart of Bishops Arts!

We had such a wonderful stay at this little room over the chocolate shop! From the moment we booked, the host was kind and responsive, reaching out right away to ask about our visit. I mentioned that my husband and I were planning a weekend in the Bishop Arts District, and she let us know we’d have a reserved parking spot during our stay — which was a huge bonus since parking can be tricky in that area on the weekends.We arrived around 5pm and found our private entrance on the side of the beautiful 125-year-old Victorian home. The house is absolutely charming and so well-decorated, with original windows that give it so much character. We were greeted with a sweet handwritten note and some delicious chocolates — such a thoughtful touch!The room had everything we needed: a coffee pot, water dispenser, a compact fridge/freezer, and even a stackable washer/dryer. The bed was super comfortable, the linens were clean and soft, and we slept great both nights. We especially appreciated how peaceful it was, even being in the middle of such a lively neighborhood.The location truly couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Bishop Arts, with everything just a short walk away. You’re literally above the best chocolate shop in town, next door to an incredible pie shop, and surrounded by amazing restaurants and unique little shops. Tranquil Oasis is a little hidden gem!

First off, love the Bishop Arts and make every effort to stay there while I'm in Dallas on business. Cannot be beat for a lively and completely walkable neighborhood with amazing options for food and drinks. Cant say enough good about it. This property is PERFECT for a lone traveler or a couple... very cozy and comfy and don't for a minute worry about the fact that theres a chocolate store downstairs, you'd never know (besides the tasty samples in the apartment when you get there) I enjoyed myself probably more than I will admit to (being a work trip and all) Its an OLD house, so don't expect granite floors or a rainfall shower but I was very comfy and relaxed during my stay. Little extras go a long way- there was fresh ground coffee and creamer and tea with honey and a pitcher of cold filtered water in the fridge... thats all it takes to make my day! Highly recommend!

Best Host EVER!!

Lovely house with everything you need for a short stay. Very clean and comfortable. Katherine was a very welcoming host. It was a busy weekend for her, but she took the time to visit with us and get us settled. Lots of options for food and shopping. Loved the weekend. Memories made!
