Staff were pleasant, restaurant was great, pool and gym were nice, room was clean and comfortable for the most part. The AC in the room was very inconsistent and didn’t keep a steady temp. Also, at around 1am I was awoken by the toilet making a strange gurgling noise. When I went in and opened the seat, the entire bowl was filled to the top with soap bubbles - as if laundry detergent had somehow forced its way back up through the drain pipes. It would eventually drain and the toilet would make the gurgling noise. It did this multiple times. I took a picture and video of this because I’ve never seen it before. It wasn’t overflowing so I just shut the bathroom door and went back to sleep.
When checking out, the staff didn’t seem concerned nor were they all that apologetic that there was obviously something wrong with the plumbing and AC.
Overall, the hotel was good but not great. If I ever have a need to return to downtown Dallas, I’ll likely try a different hotel.
