Listing is inaccurate
Advertised as multiple bedrooms that can sleep 16. I’m assuming that is with the little adjacent cabin available with an extra fee. The A-frame technically has zero bedrooms. The loft has a queen bed (which was comfortable) and the main floor had two futon sofas right next to each other. It was just one open space, offering no privacy. This place is only good for a couple, small family, or very close friends. Even so, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. We encountered multiple problems. There is no oven, just a toaster oven which was dirty with crumbs and an electric range top. Thankfully, we planned to grill. The outdoor heater didn’t work even after switching propane tanks. The hot tub jets didn’t work, nor did its lights. And it stank like a fish tank. It was hot, however. The furniture on the main floor wasn’t functional. The dining table is unsteady and decrepit, the barstools were extremely rickety, and the futons were uncomfortable for both sitting and sleeping. The best thing inside was the shower. The house is in a great location. It just needs updated functional furniture and care.

Wow sorry to hear all this Mindi, wish you would have brought this up to me as I'm very quick to correct any problems, which is apparent from years in business and nearly all 5 star reviews. You're actually the first to say the hot tub was dirty - all I know is housekeeping always services it and let's me know if previous guests compromised the water, at which I promptly have it drained, cleaned and refilled - which I happily would have done had you told me the smell was off. The jets do work, and it only has one small light. It's an older tub with just a few weaker jets, which is mentioned in the description, as well as exact details regarding the unique sleeping arrangements, including the fact that it's a studio cabin with open bedroom loft, and that there's a detached bunkhouse. The 16 persons is only for those bringing an RV(s) to the dual RV pad with hookups, also mentioned in the ad description. It also states no oven. Sorry you had different expectations. But not sure why you felt the need to address larger groups. I didn't discuss these things knowing you were just 2 people, but for anyone reading this please know I discuss the unique sleeping arrangements with all larger groups in great detail, as soon as you book, making sure the entire listing description is understood. I see you're new to vacation rentals, so I understand you might have more hotel like expectations, but with private home vacation rentals it's really important to read all the details before booking as houses differ greatly from one to another. Our Coeur d’Alene getaway
We had an absolute wonderful time. The place was absolutely perfect. My Husband actually had a work conference at the Coeur d’Alene resort Hotel but we were still able to go for walks and just enjoy the peaceful cabin. The place had everything you could think of to enjoy our time plus more. We will definitely will book here again. Absolute 5 STARS …

Everything you need to have fun
We had a fantastic time, the view was beautiful, the little bungalow had everything you needed. Everything you could want to enjoy the beauty of Lake CDA was provided. We enjoyed, riding bikes, playing ping pong, paddle boarding and sitting by the fire as the sun set on the lake

Great Place
This place was great and had everything our group needed to have a wonderful weekend in CDA. The cabin and bunk house were clean and well stocked. We took advantage of the outdoor space and enjoyed the firepit, hot tub, and ping pong table. We definitely want to return in the warmer months to utilize the bikes and water activities!

Quick weekend away
My husband and I stayed here for a nice romantic weekend. The weather was absolutely miserable in the “polar vortex” but the cabin was a delight. It was perfect for the two of us and our dogs. The area is super quiet and overall fairly remote as there weren’t many other houses around. It was the perfect weekend away from home!

Our stay was awesome. The cabin is so well appointed and outfitted. Directions to get there were easy to follow and the lake is right there with all the toys you could want to play in the water.

Inclusive Lake Vacation
My family and I were elated by the thoughtfulness of this host. We brought a baby and a few toddlers on our lake vacation and everything we needed to accommodate the littles were set out for us on our arrival. A pack and play was already set up, kids' dishes, a high chair, even kiddo life jackets by the lake! Everyone had a great time.

Nice weekend getaway
We went to CDA to participate in the CDA Half Marathon. The lake side cabin was an awesome bonus! The lake was beautiful, so many amenities for us to do while there right at the cabin. There were some great thoughts put into almost everything there.

Great for company and family events.
Great location, amazing views and a amazing selection of family friendly activities. Firepits, bikes, darts, disk golf, hot tub. Clean and tidy and great communication from Brian throughout our stay. Plan to book a longer stay later this year.

Perfect Lake Vacay
Our large family of 10 had the perfect lake experience. The highlights of our stay were the amenities at the lake (especially the trampoline & floating mat), the campfire location & outdoor games, and the bonus bunk house (great for older kids). The cabins were clean, the water was hot, and the hottub was a great place to soak during sunset. Our host was amazing by answering all of our questions quickly and helping us setup boat & jet ski rentals. The location is minutes from downtown and super convenient to make a day trip to Silverwood. We highly recommend this property to any family looking for a fun lake-cation.

Rustic and awesome
The lake flooded, so beach toys and dock were unavailable and the weather was cool, rainy and windy at times. Despite Mother Nature's wrath, we had a good time, enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub!

Beautiful and a sweet stay at a charming cabin!
We loved our stay at this lovely cabin! So many things to do! The owners have thought of everything to make a stay there fun. We enjoyed the jacuzzi every night, we relaxed on the porch, played frisbee, and relaxed by the lake. The cabin is small but for a couple and 2 small dogs it was perfect for us. We plan on returning!

Great cabin in a great location
We rented the cabin and the house boat and loved it. What a great place for a family reunion. We spent so much time paddle boarding, kayaking and jumping on the water trampoline. Amazing place!

Great time!
The property was just as described. We had a great time playing on the lake, riding the bikes that were provided and playing games. Brian has included everything a family would need to enjoy time away together. There was another family renting the boat on the lake, but that didn’t impact our stay at all, there are plenty of paddle boards, etc for all to enjoy. The only things to consider would be the stairs down to the lake. We had no issues, but they could be a challenge for those with mobility issues. The kitchen worked fine for us & we were a large party. That being said, there isn’t a lot of counter space for cooking & preparing if that is important. Overall, this place was awesome & we would definitely stay here again.

Great time!
My family had a wonderful time during our stay! Brian has thought of everything. The cabin is woodsy and charming. There is a bit of a trek down to the beach but once you are down there it is perfect! We loved that this property did not have any neighbors and was pretty secluded. Staying at Lake CDA is one of our favorite things to do in the summer and we would definitely book Eagle Outpost again!

Cute cabin & tiny house with great lake access!
We loved our stay at Eagle Outpost! I had a group of 14 people and it worked well for 12 of us to sleep inside with most sharing beds and a couple on air mattresses, and a couple people sleeping in a camper van. Loved all the facilities available to us (beach via a short trail, lake toys like SUPs and a canoe, hot tub, fire pit). Brian had great communication. I highly recommend this place to anyone coming to Coeur d'Alene, especially if you want to be on the lake.

Awesome lake setting
The A-frame was decorated amazingly. There were two futons downstairs along with a bed upstairs. Next to the Spa was a bunk house with room for 6 more to sleep. This layout worked perfectly as we had two families in our group and we each took a spot. The closeness to Lake Coeur D'Alene really separates this property from others. We crossed the street and down some stairs and we had a private beach to play. There was a water trampoline and plenty of water toys (kayaks, SUP, etc) to keep us occupied. We will be back sooner rather than later!

Amazing value for amenities, location
Brian was a great host, and he's thought through all the details to make the A-Frame a fantastic place to stay. The location of the cabin on a dead-end road, and only a few feet from the greenbelt, is perfect. Use of the recreational equipment (, bikes, kayaks, canoes, etc.) means you can book this cabin, stock the fridge, and not have to worry about anything else!

This was a great hide-away. Quiet and relaxing. Just what I needed. The hot tub was the best! Our host was very accommodating, polite and quick to answer all of my questions. The view of the lake is incredible! The cabin had everything we needed and then some.

Excellent and Amazing Cabin!
Awesome cabin rental. Attention to every detail. We did not need to bring anything except our own food and clothes. Loved that everything was ready for us. The lights were on. The heat was on, (which was necessary since it was chilly out). Very clean and cozy. Super comfy bed that has a view of the lake. My 8 year old grandson loved all the toys and games provided. We watched Aladdin and Charlotte's Web. We played tic tac toe on a cool wooden board. We played guitar and record albums on the record player. I introduced him to John Denver and he liked listening to the Sound of Music. We especially liked the hot tub which was one of our things were searching for in accomodations. He liked skipping rocks at the beach and going for a bike ride on the Centennial Trail. Definately will be back soon! Thanks, Brian for the stay at your amazing cabin!

Cozy, private cabin!
The cabin is cozy and very private even on a busy road. We enjoyed our stay. There is walking/running/biking path right across the street, town is just a such drive, we walked the beach a few times, hikes a few trails and enjoyed the downtown area. Great experience, clean and well stocked. We will be back.

Quite Weekend Getaway

Weather related Power Outage
Two days before we were to stay at this wonderful property, a large windstorm hit the area, which resulted in the Coeur d’Alene area being out of power. The property owner kept in constant contact with us, and tried everything he could to get power to the cabin for our stay. Unfortunately odds were against us and we were never able to stay. However, if Brian is this accommodating when bad weather strikes, I can only imagine what a fantastic host he makes. Even though we didn’t stay, and our trip didn’t work out the way we had hoped, we had a very enjoyable experience with Brian(the host). We will be booking again, as we cannot wait to stay at this cabin!

It was lovely!
It's a cute little cabin overlooking the lake. And you can look out over the lake while in the bed. And there was a wonderful little coffee shop 5 minutes away!💕

All the toys!
Great cozy cabin. Very eco friendly! Brian was very responsive to texts, and there were so many toys and games available. Enjoyed our mini-vacation immensely. I secretly want to give this place bad ratings to that no one will book it and I can stay more easily!
