"Overnight stay. Due to our own problems could not check in arriving after 12mn very good instructions to gain entry and directions to room. Breakfast made to order delicious and plentiful. Hotel is tierd in places but room was modern obviously newly updated. Bed very comfortable family are improving areas all the time. Well worth a visit if you are coming to Castle Douglas."

"We enjoyed our stay very much. We enjoyed the conversations we had with our hosts, Esther and Ian, both of whom when out of their way to welcome us and help us. We especially enjoyed walking from the B&B to Threave Castle and exploring the nature preserve. We were traveling without a car and had no problem getting to the property by bus."

"Love love love! Dec-2018: Stayed for 2-nts with the family (6 adults and 5 (all under 9yrs) children) and loved the location, space and freedom that Cumnock Knowes afforded us. You can't miss the property as it stands proud on the horizon as you drive south, out of Carsphairn. The woodland that has been removed from around the house would have offered some protection from the elements, but the views from every window were fantastic - hopefully replanting is in the plans for the future. The house...
