"Stayed over for one night passing through on a cycling trip. The host was extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful storing and charging our bikes. Only open for B&B but fortunately the local tearoom opens on weekend evenings for meals. Well stocked community shop next door and community pub at the end of the street. Great village and area."

"Just returned from four nights at the Cross Keys ...... Susan the owner and staff are more than welcoming ...... New Galloway is tranquility it’s self !!!!! And a hidden gem for those looking to escape for a while .... a piece of Scottish charm and well worth a visit ..... but don’t tell too many people 😁"

Breakfast very good and sets you up for the day . Pre dinner cocktails sitting in the garden an added bonus . Dinner exceptional and in particular the curries !
Would highly recommend staying at Ernespie again .
Anyone travelling with children the neighbouring Ernespie Farm and play area is ideal .

"We had a great stay at our daughters wedding all the family in one large villa but still felt part of the hotel. Cars come and take you up to the hotel whenever you wish. Or the grounds are beautiful to walk up to the hotel. All the staff we met were amazing"

"The guest house is in a quiet street a short walk into the town. Checkin was great suggestions for local restaurants etc. The guest house was spotless and beautifully decorated. Lovely big room, plenty of tea and coffee.

"Very nice family hotel, good vibes. Well kept, pretty outside area. Only Thing missing was aircon because of summer temperatures but fan was provided upon request so all good "
"The hotel was overbooked, so I was outbooked to another hotel with quite lower standards a 12 min. drive away. I also got split up from my travelling companions. I heard that the same had happened for other guests as well. I asked for some kind of compensation, without success."
