"We booked this house last minute for our fall break trip. It was great for so many reasons!! They allowed dogs, was one house off the sand, had great views of the beach/ocean/jetty from the patio, easy access to grocery and food options, plus there was a fire pit, sauna, and hot tub! The house was clean and well stocked with all the basic amenities. Drew the owner was very communicative and friendly. "

The cottage is right on the sand, 2 blocks down from the boardwalk, so you can easily walk or ride a bike to get to the pier or any of the many shops and restaurants. The only issues we had were: 1. "We arrived with instructions to retrieve the front door key from a lock box. We opened the lock box only to find it was empty. We called our host numerous times, emailed and texted. We never got a response. We tried to contact hotels.com with no success. We finally were able to speak to someone at The Evolve Team, which is the company that manages this vacation rental. After numerous calls back and forth they agreed to cancel our booking and begin the process for refunding our money in full. I...

"We’ve always been smitten with the island and this lovely historical cottage was perfect for our extended stay. Between the grill with propane ready to go and the modern appliances and the well equipped kitchen,dining in was east and fun. Comfy beds, laundry access, and AC unit were great. John was a very communicative and generous hist - great experience!"

"Fine little cottage right on the PCH and comfortable walk to Victoria Beach! House had all essentials except for an iron and ironing board. Also, questionable whether or not the bed is actually a king-sized bed as stated on the listing. It was much smaller than anticipated and looked to be the size of a queen. Beside that, the stay was pleasant and met our needs. The communication with caretaker was quick, thorough and helpful. Would recommend this location for future stays. Thank you!"
