"This hotel has it all. It is in a fantastic location. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and if you have a room on the ground floor you can get a small terrace. The breakfast is good and you get the best coffee."

"This hotel is amazing. The staff is great, service is top, good amenities, and good breakfast. The only thing is it’s a bit further from the city, but I enjoyed walking everyday, and we also had a motorbike to go around. The hotel offers shuttle to town too, multiple times per day, but we didn’t use it. Surroundings are stunning, and I watched the sunset from the river next to the hotel. Would book this next time, if/when I go to Luang Prabang again. 10/10."

"We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was pretty, clean and situated in calm surroundings and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. They served a delicious complimentary breakfast of our own choosing. The only small downside was that it was a bit far to walk to the city center since the bamboo bridge was closed due to construction. "I had a very comfortable room. Very clean and the bed and pillows were great. Fridge worked well and plenty of hot water. Nice options for breakfast as well. I did have some sportiness with the internet but not enough to ruin my stay. "

"It was a great stay at Cold River. The staff made us feel very welcome and at home. They very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located nicely if you are ready for a little walk to get to the center of Luang Prabang (maybe 10-15 min. walk). It is nice that it is more by itself - quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast. The only thing was the hard pillows - but minor detail."
