"We had a wonderful stay! The hotel was pretty, clean and situated in calm surroundings and the staff was extremely kind and helpful. They served a delicious complimentary breakfast of our own choosing. The only small downside was that it was a bit far to walk to the city center since the bamboo bridge was closed due to construction. "This hotel has it all. It is in a fantastic location. The staff is very attentive and helpful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and if you have a room on the ground floor you can get a small terrace. The breakfast is good and you get the best coffee."

"Der var mulighed for at sidde på morgenmads”balkon” hele dagen med lav selv kaffe. Her var der skøn udsigt til bjerge og flod. Personalet var særdeles hjælpsom, da der var problemer med flybilletter og har stor andel i at problemet blev løst. Stille område. Alt i alt et dejligt sted. Meget anbefalelsesværdigt."

"It was a great stay at Cold River. The staff made us feel very welcome and at home. They very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located nicely if you are ready for a little walk to get to the center of Luang Prabang (maybe 10-15 min. walk). It is nice that it is more by itself - quiet and peaceful. Great breakfast. The only thing was the hard pillows - but minor detail."

"Really nice stay. Alex at the front desk was incredibly nice and super helpful, answering all my questions (in great English), making suggestions and helping me get a motorbike rental. Fantastic breakfast made to order with plenty of options, cooked and served by a very nice staff, eager to help. Not super high end, but more than worth the price!"

When showering the water stayed on the floor instead of going down the drain immediately. The staff provided lots of extra towels to soak it up though. "
