Det ideelle hus ved foden af Akropolis.

Det er en rummelig og hyggelig lejlighed på 63 kvadratmeter perfekt beliggende tæt på Akropolis i det hyggelige kvarter Thiseio. Udsigten fra taget (to etager op ad små, typiske bagerste trapper) er spektakulær. Gæster kan nyde privatlivets fred i hele lejligheden, som jeg altid sørger for at være ren og pæn. Placeringen kunne ikke være bedre. Inden for en halv blok befinder du dig på en 10 minutters gangbro til Akropolis og andre nærliggende arkæologiske seværdigheder. I et sådant område er der selvfølgelig masser af spisesteder og kaffehuse. Men ikke så almindeligt er den moderne store dagligvarebutik i god størrelse kun få blokke nede i den samme gade. I samme gade er der en frisørsalong, elektronikforretning, nærbutik, frisør og mere - det er et kvarter ikke kun for turister, men for de mennesker, der bor her på fuld tid. Metrostationen ligger kun 2 minutter væk, så du kan bruge toget til at udforske Athen. Når som helst i vores hånd, vil vi være glade for at tilbyde en tidligere indtjekning eller senere udtjekning.

Location was excellent. Easy walking distance to all the sights. Irene was very nice. She provided us beach towels for our visit to Lake Vouliagmeni (otherwise very expensive to rent towels at lake). We arrived several hours early of checkin time so she graciously let us leave our luggage while she finished preparing home. She gave us the keys and a tour of the home and restaurant recommendations. We went to lunch as she finished prepping and we returned at 230 pm and went straight in to a beautiful “homey” home that was clean and ready for our stay. After a day of touring we came home, turned on the AC. As the house cooled down ( which it did relatively quickly) we climbed up the stairs and enjoyed an amazing view of the acropolis with cooling breezes. This is a hidden gem of a place to stay in Athens. If/when I return to Athens I hope Irenes place is still available to rent. (If you like cats, the cafe down the block is cute… see photo). This was a mother-daughter trip

Our stay at Irene's property in Athens was an absolute dream, earning every one of its five stars!The Thissio neighborhood itself is a gem, offering truly stunning views of the Acropolis that are even more breathtaking in person. We spent hours happily exploring the area on foot, with incredible sights and experiences around every corner.Irene was an exceptional host – very responsive and incredibly helpful from booking to checkout. Her apartment was nothing short of perfect. It was spotlessly clean and wonderfully well-stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and convenient stay. We truly felt at home.We can't recommend Irene's VRBO enough for anyone visiting Athens. If you're looking for an ideal location, fantastic amenities, and a superb host, this is the place!

Very clean, spacious apartment with a sweet little balcony for watching the parade passing by. Beautiful, lively neighborhood with many wonderful tavernas and cafes--and Melina's glorious pedestrian pathway right at the end of the street. And, for such a busy area, it is surprisingly quiet at night. We highly recommend it.

Hinsichtlich des Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnisses der Unterkunft klare Empfehlung!Sehr saubere Unterkunft, nette Vermieterin die sich wunderbar kümmert, sofern Hilfe benötigt wird.Vieles ist in der Wohnung vorhanden, was nicht mehr mitgebracht oder besorgt werden muss, angefangen bei Handtüchern und Bettwäsche, bis hin zu WC-Papier und Müllbeuteln.Die Lage ist sehr zentral, ruhige und gepflegte Umgebung, gleich gegenüber ("Underdog", super Essen und tolle Sitzgelegenheiten) und nahebei viel Gastronomie und Fußgängerzone.Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr gut ohne öffentlichen Nahverkehr fußläufig erreichbar.Die Dachterrasse im 4. OG ist von der Wohnung im 1. OG über im Innenhof liegende Treppen erreichbar und für alle Bewohner zugänglich. Tolle Sicht auf die Highlights der Stadt, schöner Platz, um Sonnenuntergang oder die Nacht mit einem Kaltgetränk zu genießen. Deshalb: Empfehlenswert, würden sofort nochmals dort einchecken!

Irene was the absolute best host! She went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The apartment was immaculately clean and had all the comforts of home. My daughter and I loved this apartment, and its location was a perfect mix of tourist and local. Irene also hooked us up with the best taxi driver. Defiantly recomend!

The apartment it's located in a great area. Lots to walk to and lots to see. There's no lack of shops, merchants or restaurants. Irene, the host, was very helpful and gave us a number of recommendations and all of which were excellent. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

You know you have booked a great location when you give the address of the apartment to the taxi driver at the cruise port and he says “oh, that is a perfect location to be staying in Athens!” We couldn’t have been more happy with the apartment overall!! Ideal location- beautiful rooftop view of the Acropolis and within walking distance to all the major sights you came to see. Restaurants galore nearby, a metro station just down the hill, access to the main pedestrians lanes around ancient Athens within 1/2 block. Irene was the perfect host. The apartment access instructions were perfect and easy to follow. Irene was available via text and was awesome at making recommendations for beaches, restaurants and tips for the best times to go certain places. The apartment was sparkling clean and so spacious and had everything we needed for a weeks stay. Access to the rooftop patio was an added bonus. Super quiet area- we slept so well. Only one flight of stairs up to access the unit. Nice to have the added convenience of insuite laundry. And Irene was so kind to leave water, coffee and cookies and items for an easy breakfast on our first day. We could not recommend a better place for you to stay in Athens.

We could not have picked a better location. Thissio is indeed THE best place to locate for exploring the best sights of Athens as well as the local culture.The property was spotless and could not have been any better equipped. The Host, Irene, was wonderful and very helpful from the moment we booked.The only fault we could find is that we were 2 couples and the 2nd bedroom really only had a single bed and a cot. We recommend it highly...for a family with 2 children.

We had a wonderful timeout in Athens for 4 days in Irene‘s appartment: many places of interest are easily accessible, even by foot. It was a joy to have parks, bustling markets, yummy restaurants, shops, museums and relaxed cafes in walking distance. Athens is certainly more than the Acropolis! Irene‘s welcome was warm, her advice worthwhile and her aircon generously used as a heater because of the unusual cold.Thx a lot for your hospitality, Irene, hope to see you again!

We stayed here for 2 weeks. It's a great location within walking distance of all the major sites in Athens. The neighborhood is quiet and less touristy than the Plakka area. Plenty of good restaurants and coffee shops Irene was a lovely host

This is a 10/10! Exactly how it is described by owner. Irene was extremely nice and helpful. Irene suggested places to eat and those were also 10/10! Apartment had amazing views, walking distance to everything, clean, comfortable and very safe. I will stay here again and definitely recommend to others. Thank you for the wonderful memories!

Miss Irene was very helpful and the apartment was indeed ideal. The area of town was perfect to walk and explore with plenty of food choices and spectacular views. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to start off our trip to Greece. Wish we would have booked more days!!

This apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms, living room, kitchen, 1bath, a rooftop patio and 2 balconies. It was exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. It’s location is close to coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, 2 pharmacies and a mini-market. Irene, host, greeted us with key, helped carry bags and gave lots of useful information and directed us to good restaurants. She was always available by phone. Sunset on Acropolis from the rooftop was spectacular. 2 drawbacks: stairs, no elevator, to first floor apartment and street noise was disturbing for sleeping in front bedroom. Thank you, Irene and VRBO. Wonderful stay!

This lovely apartment is in the heart of the area around the Acropolis, short walk to the site, Metro, and Plaka areas. Very clean, well-appointed and the host is phenomenal. She helped us find a trusted taxi for a very early morning flight, he was reliable and gave us great tips on things to see, do and taste. This is a true gem!

Our stay in Irini's little piece of heaven was absolutely delightful! She is a total sweetheart and is an outstanding host and made us feel as if we were family! She gave great recommendations for places to eat, shop and travel. The apartment was spacious with all amenities needed including great internet and was located in a perfect location for us to visit Athen's outstanding sights and for travel access to other locations. You can view the Acropolis from her rooftop terrace and enjoy a cocktail there on her table & chairs. We enjoyed breakfast on the balcony and watched others enjoying the gorgeous neighborhood and all it has to offer. She also has a washing machine and clothesline out rear patio door to dry clothes. You can enjoy excellent restaurants & do grocery shopping all within a one block distance and with an additional block enjoy an outstanding bakery! We wish we could give her & her apartment 10 stars as she and the apartment earned them during our 4 week stay. In closing, if we return to Athens, we will absolutely stay here again!
