Vi havde 3 overnatninger på dette dejlige sted. Personalet var meget venlig og hotellet har flere gode faciliteter, bl.a. vandreture, yoga, fitness og meget mere. Skønt værelse med god plads, køkkenfaciliteter og den skønneste udsigt til Agavekysten.

Os serviços do spa continuam impecaveis. Os bancos da zona do pequeno almoço estao pegajosos e o pano usado nos bancos era o mesmo para as mesas. O ar condicionado oscilava muito, às vezes funcionava, outras não. A equipa de receção esforçou-se para que a estadia corresse da melhor forma possível. O senhor do restaurante ao jantar tambem foi muito atencioso. A comida do prato principal do jantar também foi boa, mas as doses podiam ser um pouco mais generosas. O vinho sugerido para a refeição encaixou na perfeição. Relativamente a almoço e petiscos, a pizza margarita é muito gordurosa e os camarões com tomate não correspondem à expetativa.

Da mesma forma, é reconfortante saber que o colega que o atendeu no restaurante foi atencioso durante o jantar. A sugestão do vinho para acompanhar a refeição é um ponto positivo, uma vez que ajudou a melhorar a experiência gastronômica.Quanto à comida, lamentamos que a pizza margarita tenha sido gordurosa e que os camarões com tomate não tenham correspondido às expectativas. Wir hatten ein Apartment es hat zwei Badezimmer das ist wirklich wunderbar. Wir waren erst in der ersten Reihe vorne. Dort hört man die SDurchgangsstraße relativ laut. Und haben dann um ein Zimmer in der zweiten Reihe gebeten. Dort war es wunderbar ruhig. Die Sonne heizt die Zimmer extrem auf. Zimmer ohne Panoramaussicht sind genauso gut. Man kann ruhig auch im November noch schön dort Urlaub machen oder später. Das Frühstück ist am Wochenende extrem voll, da das Hotel dann ausgebucht ist. Wir haben uns einmal das Frühstück aufs Zimmer bringen lassen kostet pro Person 10 EUR lohnt sich aber. Toll sind die kostenlosen Kurse und SportProgramme. Zum Beispiel Yoga war klasse. Das einzigste: der Kurs fand gleichzeitig zum Frühstück statt. Man hat das Tellerklappern vom Yogaraum gehört.

Greta spa hotel couldn’t fault the facilities. Rooms were also excellent and the staff service. I would r recommend the food in the hotel far better and cheaper options 10 minutes away in Monchique

Hotel com excelentes condições, conforto. Funcionários simpáticos e com a atenção no hóspede. Excelente pequeno almoço. O único ponto negativo é o deck da piscina que por ser de madeira se encontra degradado podendo os mais descuidados acabarem por se magoar.

Wonderful stay in the mountains with an ocean view
The hotel is situated in the Monchique mountain region. We booked a panoramic suite which gave us views all the way to Portimao and the ocean- wonderful. The hotel is very nice , clean and modern and very well equipped. The staff are doing a great job and are very friendly. This is a perfect stay for families with small children as the hotel facilities are great for all members of the family. The SPA is really relaxing and wonderfully built and equipped with numerous showers and steam rooms. This is a perfect stay if you are tired of the loud and arrogant tourists in the all inclusive resorts- so if you are one of those don’t go here - this is a quiet and relaxing mountain resort with hiking possibilities and to enjoy nature. The restaurants and bars offer a wide variety of local produce and drinks that are fantastic and a must try.

The Monchique Resort and Spa was everything and more that we expected. We were welcomed by a very pleasant staff and shown around the resort. We arrived a bit early and the front desk worked at getting us an updated room asap. In fact they had one ready when we returned from our tour. Room was spacious with a beautiful view. We took advantage of a morning hike with a Monchique staff and it was a excellent. The Spa, which we booked, was outstanding. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had no complaints and commented on how everyone working at the Spa was so happy and helpful.

What a wonderful time spent with a professional and caring team. The property was beautiful, the amenities and pool were to die for and the energy of monchique was calming and a perfect answer to our need for a retreat while experiencing an authentic Portuguese experience in the beautiful town of Monchique.

Lo que más me gustó fueron las vistas desde la habitación, la amabilidad del personal (recepción, camareros), la terraza del restaurante para desayunar, las tortillas que nos hicieron amablemente como algo extra para el desayuno, el entorno tan tranquilo y natural y sin duda el spa, de verdad magnífico. Lo que no me gustó tanto fueron el café y el zumo de naranja del desayuno. Me hubiera gustado que el zumo fuera natural y el café y la leche de mejor calidad. Teníamos una habitación preciosa, con un baño grande y otro pequeño, pero cada vez que usábamos el videt del baño grande salía agua por el suelo. Por más que cada día informábamos en recepción del problema y ellos nos aseguraban de haber avisado al departamento de mantenimiento de la avería, no la arreglaron y tuvimos que sufrir el problema hasta el último día. El baño pequeño tenía mal olor. También avisamos en recepción de ello, pero no tomaron ninguna medida para solucionar la situación. La terraza de la habitación era enorme y preciosa, con unas vistas espectaculares, pero me molestó que no tuviera ninguna división con las terrazas del resto de habitaciones, ya que de ese modo no pudimos disfrutar en ella de ninguna privacidad.

An exceptional hotel and spa
An amazing hotel in an incredible location. The facilities, particularly the spa, are superb and the staff make the whole stay very special. The surrounding countryside is wonderful for walking and there are number of lovely villages and restaurants within walking or short cab distance. A superb place that doesn't really feel like any other hotel we'd been to.

We have been coming to Monchique for almost forty years and this is by far the best accommodation available. This is a beautiful resort with a top quality spa, comfortable beds and a very hospitable staff. The views from the terrace are amazing and there are many restaurants close by. We did day trips to Portimao which is only twenty minutes away. The mountain air and the piri piri chicken at O Castelo are both worthwhile.

Heerlijke plek in de bergen. Luxe suite met terras. En een fijn keukentje om simpele gerechtjes te kunnen maken als je daar zin in hebt. Ontbijt super!!!

Very relaxing. Staff were very friendly. Only downside was that they did not allow late check out

Hotel confuso e caro para o que oferece
Piscinas muito fracas (as 2 de 4 a que tivemos acesso). Falta de manutenção em redor e na piscina do piso 1. Azulejos em falta na piscina dão origem a cortes nos pés (o que aconteceu connosco). Uma parte restaurantes do hotel estava fechada. Muito caro para a qualidade do serviço. Demasiadas crianças nas piscinas.

A welcoming tranquil place , the kids club was a bit depressing and could do with brightening up and also choice of room service menu wasn’t great especially considering it’s family friendly so more likely for people to stay in…

Beautiful Monchique
We have stayed here a few times and love coming back. The staff are exceptional, the room is very large and has a very comfy bed. The air conditioning is always good too.
