Zephyros Strand

I booked around 6pm and when I got there they didn’t have a room. I was told to look elsewhere for a room and on top of that, they said they wouldn’t give me a refund because it was booked through Hotels.com! What s terrible start. Ages later they went and got the cleaner, who was probably having dinner with her family at 8pm, to ‘prepare a room for me’ which was apparently ‘locked for next season’. Appalling room condition. Very very outdated, damp walls smelled so intensely I couldn’t sleep from the smell (and I could not leave the balcony door open as I was on street level and plenty of mosquitoes too). I woke up coughing. Very old bathroom, the door was peeling, the side light wasn’t working, the emergency light outside the room was broken and flashing, which woke me up when it was still dark… I left the place absolutely exhausted. ‘You get what you pay for’ they say, but this was completely unacceptable even for €45.

Vi havde et godt ophold på hotellet. Beliggenheden er rigtig god, og morgenmaden var varieret og velsmagende. Stranden lige overfor hotellet kan dog ikke anbefales, da der er mange sten. Vi vil i stedet anbefale at gå cirka 15 minutter, hvor der er en langt bedre strand. Vi oplevede desværre, at airconditionen på vores første værelse ikke virkede. Efter to dage og flere henvendelser fik vi et nyt værelse, hvor problemet var løst. Hotellet kompenserede os med en gratis pizza, hvilket vi satte pris på. Hotellets elevator fungerede heller ikke optimalt under vores ophold, så vi måtte bære vores bagage op ad trapperne. Fitnessrummet kunne godt trænge til en opdatering, da noget af udstyret ikke virkede. Løbebåndet var eksempelvis ude af drift. Hotellet fandt dog en løsning og gav os adgang til et andet hotels fitnesscenter, som lå cirka syv minutters gang væk. Det var frustrerende i situationen, men vi er taknemmelige for, at de hjalp med en alternativ løsning. Alt i alt er personalet hjælpsomt, beliggenheden er god, og morgenmaden er et stort plus. Med lidt bedre vedligeholdelse af faciliteterne ville opholdet have været endnu bedre.

Stunning property nestled between a couple of other related properties. Very quiet and beautiful grounds, rooms and accommodations. The staff are incredible; friendly, welcoming and eager to help make the stay a pleasure - and it was. We spent 5 days here; 5 days of that truly decadent breakfast, 5 days enjoying the luxurious grounds and service. Lana and the staff here made us feel like family. Arkoudi, the nearby town, is wonderful and has some great restaurants and a really nice bay beach if you find you want to explore outside this Grecotel resort area. My work brought us here, and it's been a lovely discovery - we would like to return to the area and the Mandola Rosa for another trip in the future!
