When checking in we were told no rooms were available even though we had reserved rooms through Expedia. We were given a room in one of the cabins away from the hotel.

The staff was great, but we waited hours to check in because our cabi was not cleaned. They decided to give us anothr cabin. All good Until we got in there. Maybe i missed the part on the ad where it said there is no phone, TV or internet. The the toilet bacjed up. Had to drive to he office to ask for help. She said she was sending us someoe right away. We got back to find it still backed up but we now had a plunger. Didnt work. Decided enough is enough packed and left the next day. They couldn't give us a refund because we went thru Expedia. Found a nice place outside the park and spent the rest of the week there

The main building has a beautiful lake view. Cabins are quiet. Restaurant is good but not big enough to accommodate all guests in a single evening. Food was good.

Had a good time. Ring of fire tour was good. Liked the ambiance. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Had a leaky faucet in room 215.

The Yellowstone Hotel is an old classic hotel- we stayed in the cabins. It was a bit rustic but that is what we expected. It was very clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful dinner in the hotel and a great tour by the concierge. We would stay there again.

The experience was fantastic in all areas except electronic and cell phone communications. The hotel does not have wifi and there are very few areas in the park with cell tower connections. The Business center is available with computers to use but many simple and sometimes important matters cannot be handled with any convenience.

Stay in the cabins. We’re disappointed because the floor was dirty. The mattress was very squeaky and light bulb was burned out. Do you think for $300 a night at least get a lightbulb that worked.

For the most part, the staff was great. Most of them were brand new, with a few returning from the previous season, but they all tried to be helpful. We arrived the 5th day they were open. The rooms wasn't stocked with things like coffee and accessories. No hair dryer, which is important when the weather is cold. There was a scrap of paper that I watched lay on the floor for the entire duration of our visit. The kitchen smells emanated throughout the hotel on the dinning room end: even up into the 2nd floor. The food was bland, overcooked, and dry in the restaurant. Our reservations were late, and we were told it was because they like to keep the tables full during the main dining time, so if you have an odd number in your party, like for instance 3, expect to be pushed to the end of the dinner service. actually, you are better off heading out the west gate and going to the burger joint or the taco truck; both of which have very good food. The Deli was the best bet for edible food in the hotel, but it's not a true deli. No WIFI, so expect to chat in the lounge, read a book, or sleep. Workaholics will be disappointed and may require a sedative. The exhaust from the kitchen ran all night with a dull drone vibrating the room, and the beds were tilted; I suppose so you could roll out of bed and be up at a moment's notice. We affectionally referred to our wing as "Flatulence Hall" because every step resulted in a creaking of the floor boards that sounded like a fart.

Generell war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, aber sauber und die Lage direkt am See ist natürlich super. Das Frühstück ist mittelmäßig und obwohl es ein Buffet gibt, ziemlich chaotisch. Ich würde beim nächsten Mal a la carte bestellen, dann bekommt man alles frisch.

I understand it is a seasonal hotel but further training on the staff is needed. It appeared more like a rag tag bunch of kids were serving you. Some were great, but most weren’t. Food options were limited and not good. Coffee is terrible, yet local brands exist that are great. If you go in early May, bring a cooler. It’s nice that few people are around, but I anticipated better food and service. Also, no WiFi which is hard because if you want to plan the day or check weather you need the internet and they don’t have it and there isn’t cell service. Rooms were nice and clean. Shower was not good. Views are beautiful! It’s a nice location because you’re central to everything in the park.

This hotel is on the National Historic Register, original part built in 1890 sited on the shore of Yellowstone Lake. No TV, No Wifi, no A/C, cell service shows 4G but no internet. Old school architecture, clean, staff friendly. Reservations can be spendy. Restaurant is a bit $$$ and definitely requires a reservation to ensure you get served, but it is inside the park and the next nearest restaurant is at old faithful. Sunroom is next to restaurant and bar, very nice to sip a drink and watch sunset. My visit was second week of May.

This property is certainly beautiful and more secluded—less busy than the areas around Mammoth Hot Springs and Old Faithful. The lobby area is large—much seating to view the lake through the large windows. Friendly servers come around to ask if you ‘d like a drink from the bar. There was a pianist playing music in the evening. A pleasant, restful night before heading out for a day of seeing the sights in the park.

Beautiful historic hotel. Unfortunately no TV and no WiFi. Great to have piano player in the evening in the lobby. Limited restaurants in the area so plan accordingly.

Le personnel a l’accueil me dit que réserver un hôtel avec Expédia est la pire chose à faire lorsque je leur ai dit qu’ils m’ont donné une chambre petite et très bruyante à côté de l’escalier principal de l’hôtel. Lors de notre arrivée la personne qui nous a accueilli nous a regardé de travers en nous disant « vous avez réservé avec Expédia »!

Overpriced. Late at making our room available. We arrived and you could not even get a cup of coffee. Bar closed. Deli closed. Staff suggested we go to next town for anything. At these prices you should get a free drink or at least have some sort of snacks food or drinks available. No wifi. No TV. It is 2024. I could not even get a copy of my receipt. Unfortunate

Very unique and friendly hotel! Concierge was new though so not the most helpful, however still able to provide basic maps and dining questions. Would have loved to have WiFi while at the hotel to be able to check in with my kids back home after long days in the park with no service.

I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed my stay at this historic hotel. My room was large and clean. The bathroom had marble countertops and basket weaved marble floors. Very quiet. I had low expectations for the dining room too after all the bad reviews but my husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. He had the NY Step and I had roasted chicken. It was a delight to meet all the young people working there for the summer.

Expensive nightly rate $450 per night. The property doesn't have Internet. Extremely noisy neighbor upstairs. Minimal dining options. Will not stay here again. One redeeming value is the location.

The area we were put in was very poor. They had the cleaning closet wide open in our hall. It had bags of trash just thrown in it with all the towels and linens! The bar service was poor and the restaurant where we had an evening meal was very expensive and not great at all.

No housekeeping. No fridge or microwave in room. Moldy shower curtain. We had to remove our trash every day and get our own towels at the front desk. The only dinner dining option (dining room - by reservation only) was unavailable until 10:45pm each day. Very inconvenient if you are trying to go to sleep early so you can get up early to beat the crowds to explore the park, meet a guide or hike. The only places to eat at/near this hotel are: 1) Deli open 6:30-2pm - coffee and limited prepackaged sandwiches and pastries. 2) Dining Room- Open for breakfast buffet then closes until dinner for which you need a reservation. (earliest available reservation for our five night stay was 10:45pm) 3) Lobby Bar - opened at 4pm but no bar menu except A) French Fries B) Oysters (?) 3) Yellowstone Lodge - nearby but limited fast food only. Hamburgers, hotdogs and fries. 4) Off Property Convenience Store - nearby, but very limited prepackaged options. (Think a poorly stocked 7-Eleven with a gift shop). Staying here is convenient to the park, but you truly are in a complete food desert. At nearly $400/night I would at least expect a mini fridge and a microwave so we could at least have fended for ourselves.

Sfortunatamente, dato che abbiamo pianificato il viaggio con poco anticipo non avevamo scelta perché non c'erano altre soluzioni di pernottamento disponibili. L'esperienza però è stata pessima, la stanza era sporca e non era disponibile né la televisione né internet (né wifi ne 4g)..

Our room had no soap, 1/2 a roll of toilet paper on the spool with no extra roll, only 2 towels and cobwebs in the ceiling. It looked like the room had not been used in a while. For the prices that were charged, I think it is reasonable to expect at least 1 bar of soap or some liquid soap and at least 1 roll of toilet paper.

We stayed in the cabins since the hotel was fully booked. The cable was just ok. It was clean and cute and i knew going in what we would and would not have. Its just beds, a bathroom and a coffee maker. Very few options for food. The restaurant is very nice but you need reservations which we did not know and they book up months in advance. Luckily we stopped by as they were opening for dinner and was able to get in but it had to be at that moment, nothing was available until 9:30. There is another place down the road but very few options and nothing if you have dietary restrictions. For these reasons these cabins should have a small refrigerator and microwave so you can at least travel with some food. I heard this was a problem so i actually came prepared with some dry food and we ate alot of peanut butter sandwiches, crackers and fruit for the 3 nights we were there. Location was great!

We arrived late after dark. The cabins were difficult to find from the hotel. There were no lights on to locate the cabin. Reservations are required for dinner, so they could not seat us until 10:00 PM. Hence, we ate our own sandwiches in our room.

A beautiful old hotel set on Yellowstone Lake. Check in was slow and the gentleman wasn’t helpful. Dinner was very nice and the waitstaff were great. Considering the price I would have expected a cleaner hotel. The lounge area had dead bugs and other dirt under the chairs. Our shower curtain was very molding, it was reported to the front desk who didn’t seem interested in fixing anything until I showed a picture. No apology from the staff at all.

It went beyond what we were expecting. Although the property appears older on the outside, the inside was well appointed.
