"The house itself is very interesting. The only issue we had was the temperature - two small window units plus the swamp cooler were not enough to cool the large home. Like another reviewer, we are from Texas and were pretty miserable. Canon City was HOT during the day and nothing could keep up. The upstairs was especially warm. The great things: location - easy walk to restaurants, ice cream parlor and shopping; train - it's parked behind the house; deer - had a large group of deer hanging...

"It was a delightful, quiet escape in the mountains. The cabin has everything. We enjoyed hiking just outside the door. Sitting on the deck, we were buzzed by humming birds, and watched dozens of wild turkeys in the meadows. It is a comfortable space to relax. We were able to view the Perseids meteor shower in the night sky. Great place for a peaceful retreat !"

"This house was exactly as advertised. The neighborhood is a little funky but this house with trees and green lawn was the best one there. The best thing about the house is the inside which was immaculate and very comfortable. The kitchen is well supplied and the owner even left us a pound of locally grass fed hamburger which was delicious. Internet tv was off and on but this is an outdoor place to go so who really cares about tv that much look at the stars instead Well worth the reasonable...

"Gorgeous, cabin, gorgeous location. The creek right off the deck and the National Forest just up the hill made it the perfect place to escape the city and relax in the peaceful forest. Will be going back again for sure."
