"Really nice hotel. I am unsure if we were just lucky with the room or if that is just the general standard, but we had a room on the 21st floor with a heavenly view of the city. Otherwise: Great and friendly service, really clean hotel, great location and relaxing lobby with a view of the bustling sidewalk outside. Before our stay, we had cycled through 2 other hotels in New York, with comparable prices. The Beacon was, without doubt, the best value for money. I ll be back. "

"Quiet and a good value. Great location and friendly staff. At check-in the credit card system was down so I had to get cash. Not a big deal, but still. Room was clean but smelled of the cleanser. There was not a fan in the bathroom which may explain the mold around the walls near the ceiling. All in all just minor problems that did not distract from a good stay at a reasonable price."
