Great ski cottage
Property was great with easy access to Stratton. The house was clean and well-maintained. Communication with host was excellent. We would stay here again.

Just right for a fall hiking trip to Vermont
The cabin in Wardsboro was a cozy and comfortable retreat in the woods. And a nice touch-- a bottle of wine and two wine glasses on the table when we arrived. The scene from the living room/dining room was spectacular-- the leaves were still brilliant but many had dropped giving us great view of some distant mountains. The space inside was comfortable for the two of us but would have accommodated another couple or a family. We enjoyed the dual fireplace on the main floor, especially because the weather was October cold and even rainy on one day. It made our evenings very cozy. We also enjoyed the fire pit at the back of the property. The owner provided plenty of firewood for both. The only minor drawback during our stay was poor internet connection, but the owner stayed in regular contact trying to get it working. New equipment installed after our stay pretty much assures the next guests that they won't have any problems in that regard. The cabin is close to Mount Snow, so I imagine this is a great location for skiiers. We were there for the hiking and found several great trails in nearby Wilmington such as Haystack Mountain and Merck Forest.

My family and I have no complaints. We loved everything about our stay. Scott was very attentive, and communication was effective which is greatly appreciated. We are definitely coming back to this cabin.

Hidden gem in a great location
Loved this property. It's well situated in Wardsboro in a neighborhood with lots of acreage between the homes. This one in particular is secluded and offers lots of privacy. The back deck is beautiful and large - a great place to have a meal. The interior is very Vermont cabin / lodge style with a wonderful double fireplace between the living and dining room. Best of all, there is a sauna in the downstairs bathroom, which was fantastic given that the weather over the weekend was not so great. Would definitely recommend and will likely be coming back!

Great weekend of skiing, fires, sauna and swimming.
We had a great weekend of skiing. We enjoyed the cabin and look forward to coming back. Fires every night in the fireplace after a long day skiing. Also got to enjoy the sauna at the cabin as well as a swim in pool at the community center. Thanks, Scott!

Great host, place needs DIY
Gracious host, convenient location & good check in process. The host also offered to give us extra time to check out, highly appreciated. If you are looking for mountain views, this place is not the right choice. It is completely surrounded by tall trees. Think furniture & bedding definitely need an update for hygiene & odor.

Thank you for your feedback Amin and I apologize for any inconvenience. I have let my house cleaner/property manager know that they should purchase all new bedding sets and to make sure that they are washed and smell clean and put on the beds right before upcoming rentals. I hope that you would consider coming back and seeing the improvements made and I would be also willing to offer you a free night stay as well. In regards to mountain views, there is a mountain view on the rear of the property during the winter months when the leaves are down.There are beautiful views from the dining room/living room and upper rear deck. Once again, thank you for choosing to stay at my cabin and we hope to make it up to you in the future if you choose to return. Best Regards, Scott

Cozy log cabin.
We enjoyed our Christmas vacation in Scott’s log cabin. He’s very prompt and his cabin is clean and well maintained. I’d certainly recommend for small family gatherings and ski trips.

Scott was super accommodating as a host with my change in plans. You can never go wrong with a trip to Vermont and this particular location gives you the best of both worlds as it is between Stratton and Mt. Snow. I will be back!

Great Fall Getaway!
Amazing cabin! Huge back porch area with a lovely view of the fall trees, and a nice big living room and dining room area with a table big enough for 8 people. The double fireplace between the dining room/living room was a very nice feature as well. The rooms are a little cozy, but the beds were very comfortable and we all slept very well. Everything was very clean. Scott was a great host and had great tips for the area and left a bottle of wine for when we checked in. We tried many of his suggestions and they were all great! I definitely recommend this stay and would stay here again.

Peaceful cabin in the woods
A group of 5 friends enjoyed the cabin for our annual trip to get together. This was our 38th year is doing this and we have spent these weekends in every New England state. This cabin worked great for us with the right amount of space, privacy, and features. We enjoyed the fire pit and the deck very much. We did take a quick trip to Pikes Falls and that was a great spot for a swim. Scott was very easy to deal with and was extremely prompt in communication. 100% recommend this spot for a cozy amd private get away.

Quiet and peaceful
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rent this home again. This log cabin cottage is located in a rustic subdivision of sorts with each house located on several acres of densely wooded property. We had complete privacy and could only hear the birds and wind in the trees. We visited in August and were close to many hiking trails, including local trails and the Appalachian Trail.

Charming Little Cabin
We stayed at Scott's log cabin in Wardsboro, VT with our friends for memorial day weekend. The cabin was super clean, charming and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances, pots pans and coffee maker also pantry had some items we could use. Rooms had linens and extra comforters. The fireplace was nice and good to have grill on the deck. Also kids enjoyed board games. Owner Scott was very responsive and gave us plenty of suggestions for local activities and resources. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Cozy Cabin Retreat
Very enjoyable stay at the cabin while equipped with all modern luxuries, is secluded and located in a quiet area off the main roads. Perfect for a winter escape staying in or checking out the local ski facilities. Scott as the owner really had great communication from the point of booking to help make the most of the time there. Would recommend highly!

Great reset
The property was exactly what I needed. Quiet, not to far from town, plenty of firewood, completely stocked. Scott was very gracious and helpful (especially when I locked myself out on an early Sunday morning, whoops). Highly recommend. Will hopefully be staying there again.

Best Deer Camp ever.
My sons and I had a fantastic time in the nicest ‘cabin’ ever. A beautiful home with rustic charms and fully luxed out, including a sauna. We all wished we had more time to stay longer. Maybe next year.

Very pleasant stay
Cabin size was great for the group of 3 couples. Nice seating by the fire, in the kitchen or in the living room. Kitchen is fully prepared for the small party cooking and super nice dining area as well as board games made our stay very pleasant.

Wonderful 4 season Vermont log cabin
Wonderful Vermont log cabin in private wooded setting. The owner was extremely detailed with instructions and offered many tips on what to do and where to dine. A bottle of wine And two glasses Welcomed us as we entered the cabin after our long drive to Vermont. The owner thought of everything and the cabin was well equipped. It was extremely clean; had a brand new stove, and very comfortable beds and bedding. There was more than plenty of wood provided for roasting Marshmallows around the outdoor fire pit in a wooded private setting on the property. The indoor fireplace was the focal point in the center as we gathered around the large dining table for meals and the living room for some fun board games. Great log cabin for any time Of year!

Great little spot in southern VT
We really enjoyed this quiet and spacious cabin! Scott was a great host who made sure to reach out before our trip with plenty of information about the listing and with recommendations for local attractions. He was also very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had once we arrived at the cabin. The location is close to Mt. Snow, Stratton Mt., Townsend, and Jamaica, all of which provide opportunities for great outdoor activities. There were definitely a few areas that could have been improved in terms of having the cabin ready for our arrival (the club card for the community center was not put out and neither were the fire-starting candles for the fireplace/fire pit, the lighters at the cabin did not work so we had to purchase our own from the general store, and there were pieces of broken glass in the ice cube trays in the freezer), but overall these issues did not impact our experience too much - I would just recommend a more thorough cleaning/preparation between guests. We had lots of fun playing board games on the deck and making s'mores at the fire pit. There was also a tornado watch on our second day and we lost power 4 times, but the cabin has a generator that worked well, so we were never without power for more than a few seconds. Overall we felt that this was a really nice property with plenty of charm. We would certainly rent from Scott again!

Became like home and did not want to leave.
Granddaughter loved her forest lawn. We loved using the grill, firepit, and internet. Enjoyed the cooler nights and sleeping with the windows open. Did not stay long enough to see a moose. Enjoyed the chipmunk and owls.

Great location. Quiet and private.
Well furnished and full complement of appliances, TV, music.. Great shower, nice sauna + washer dryer make it perfect for active use. Large private deck with tables and grill. lots of large trees. Highly recommended.

We loved our weekend at Scott’s place! It is cozy, clean, convenient, and comfortable, and the house had everything we needed to hunker down and chill out as a family. We will surely return again next year!!

Great place!
We had a great time at the cabin! Has everything you need and the owner was very helpful and leaves a lot of information. Kitchen was very well stocked - and we took advantage of all the pots/pans/knives/utensils. Sauna was super nice after a day of long skiing too :-) Would definitely go back! I would add that the stairs to the bedrooms is quite steep, and one of the people in the group slipped down them but were luckily okay. Might be good to know though for anyone with limited mobility.

Excellent stay for a party of 7!
We stayed with my in laws in this house in early September. The house is super comfortable and very well equipped. It is in the middle of the woods in a lovely, quiet area. Scott, the owner, was *very* helpful and responsive. Gave us recommendations for hiking and outdoor activities in the area, which turned out to be really good. We spend a few good hours playing with the many board games available in the living room. Definitely recommended!

Steep stairs
Nice house, comfortable, had almost everything you needed. Quiet surroundings, and fairly secluded. A bit of a drive from town. Stairs are a bit steep if you have little ones or older ones ( my dad fell down them once ). Owner very accomodating. Stayed in summer, was quite warm upstairs ,we brought fans which helped, bedrooms downstairs were quite cool.
