"The home is very secluded and has a magnificent view! The interior is gorgeous and perfect for a couple. The home faces west so the sunsets over the mountains and the James River are spectacular! There isn't a lot nearby in terms of grocery stores or restaurants. You'll have to travel 20 mins or so (as far as we could tell) to get to anything like that so bring your groceries. "I had mixed feelings upon arrival, it was a bit worn down, which didn’t show in photos. Grill was fantastic, but deck needs a few boards repaired, just for a start. The trees surrounding the property are super relaxing so we soon started to relax. Bed is super comfy and linens are high quality. Towels are fluffy. Location was good as well. "We loved our stay here! The cabin was clean and cozy and looked just like the photos. The hot tub was clean and ready to go. There is a nice yard and the road is quiet so our dog was off leash most of the week with no issues. The neighbors were so nice, multiple people stopped to talk to us when we were hanging out on the front porch. We didn’t hear back from the owner for about a week when we initially reached out (before the trip) but communication was quick and thorough every time after that....

"Just an overnight stay. On our way back home from northern New York. The place was nice. It is peaceful sitting on the deck. The check in process was a little tedious with various emails and downloads required. The Backstep is a little sketchy. Be careful walking in. Overall the place was nice"

"My friends and I were looking for a quiet, secluded cabin that felt like camping, but with the comfort of indoor plumbing. Creekside Chalet delivered! The floor to ceiling windows and screen doors brought the outside in. We enjoyed breakfast on the deck, listening to the creek below. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we all got a good night's rest. Tony was a very courteous and responsive host. Overall, definitely a winner!! "
