We even received an upgraded room with a huge spacious private patio with lounge chairs and an outdoor dining table. Room was just as spacious, and comfortable. "First time staying at this property and the staff is great and welcoming, I wish I knew the young lady that checked me in on Sunday she was so sweet and very professional. I have stayed at other beach hotels and this was the first one that the room did not have sand all over even after HK clean the room.i also felt safe at this hotel knowing you won’t have strangers/homeless people wondering the property as you need you key to access all doors and for the main elevator going to the floors. "

"Hotel and room were as advertised. Staff were helpful when the A/C unit in our room broke down. They didn’t give us a different room but worked with a technician to get it fixed within 4 hours. Parking was offsite one block away. I would have no doubt staying here again. "

"Amazing staff, amazing area right by the beach for an affordable price. There was a fun night life event right inside the hotel every night.
The pool was dirty… but it wasn’t the hotels fault. Just packed with kids having a good time. "

"It was an excellent place to stay. The staff was phenomenal. We did not have any issues at all. Their elevator was down, but they accommodated the residence extremely well. They had a staff member stay in the elevator and help residence to get to their floors. They did a great job in a really difficult situation. The view from the hotel is amazing The boardwalk outside is incredible. You just can’t get a better place to stay!"

"I’ve stayed at a few properties on Virginia Beach over the years and none I’d go back to. However, The Capes is on my list of hotels I’d rebook. The rooms were clean; the property was clean. The indoor pool was warm and seemed pretty clean. They offer an on-site restaurant. I did not try this time around so I can’t speak to the food there. They also offer ample parking that is easily accessible. I guess if I were to offer one thing I’d like to see, it’d be a soap rack in the shower or towel rack...
