"I am very disappointed with my stay and feel misled by the rating shown on Expedia. This property is listed with a score of 8.8/10 based on thousands of reviews, but in my experience, this does not reflect reality at all. "Great location"

"I love this hotel because of the layout of the rooms. The layout allows for the best ovean view. We were in a king room and the bedroom was right next to the balcony so you could watch and listen to the beach all night. The staff at breakfast was incredible kind and welcoming. "

"I gave this a 3 because of the house keeping. Each day we had to ask the front desk for towels after asking the housekeepers to provide fresh towels. Upon check out, the receptionist continued her conversation with her co-worker. I had to ask for the receipt and she never asked me if I enjoyed my stay or for my return business. I usually stay at Hilton hotels because I have never encountered this before."

"The floor of the room was completely filthy. My feet were black just by taking 6 steps forward. Not to mention they put us in the back of the hotel and the only sun light we got was a peek from inside of the car garage. The building is old, but most beach hotels are."

"Repairs were needed on entrance, bathroom, and sliding glass doors. Toilet did not work properly, we were not booked in a handicap room as our reservation specified. Maintenance was not done. The 1st room that we were given after pointing out we needed handicap accessable was not acceptable due to shrubbery grown up so tall the beach was not visible. Why pay for ocean front if you can't even see it. We were moved to a second room that had the above problems."

"Shower tiles caved in around knob, holes in the walls in the room. Other patrons were smoking marjuana on the balconies and being loud. General manager stated they couldn’t do anything about the noise until 1 AM. General manager also stated that marijuana is legal in Virginia so they can’t tell them no. "

"Needing some serious upgrades. Will prob stay at hilton next time unless upgrades have been made. Staff was great especially manager"

"The location is great, I didn't think the young man at the desk was all that friendly. The hallways and stairs need to be cleaned. The room was clean, but it didn't look like it was vacuumed. The breakfast wasn't that good. I realize it is off season but the breakfast was really lacking little touches. "
