"The apartment itself was clean, well equipped and peaceful. The outside spaces however were dirty - the front entrance had pigeon droppings all over it, the stairs were not swept and filthy. The apartments small balcony was full of pigeon droppings and there was an ashtray full of old cigarette butts - this was particularly annoying as everytime we put our towels out to dry on the line we ended up treading pigeon droppings into the apartment. "Great location, charming apartment. Description should include the steep, narrow and dark stairwell entry. Not unusual in very old buildings, but anyone with mobility issues will have a real problem. We are each 77 and took the stairs VERY CAREFULLY, especially with luggage. "
