"I chose the hotel based on a YouTuber, and it was ok/nice, but using hotels way more than 150 nights per year, you start valuing differently. How cozy is a room, how fast is the internet, how great is the temp and water pressure in your shower, and how is breakfast? Puerto Vallarta is a tourist trap, and the competition sets the standard - too expensive for too little, and well, breakfast - I don't know, I am maybe just longing too much for home right now :-) But not bad, for the record!"

"I don’t have much positive to say about this hotel. Food has no flavor and their mixed drinks are undrinkable. On top, I got food poisoned after having my first dinner at the hotel. I spent the next day in bed and when we told the staff, they just replied that can happen and didn’t offer any assistance for medication etc.
the staff seems not happy to work there, as they were not smiling and didn’t greet the guests.

"Velas is a beautiful resort. The staff has always been helpful and very friendly. Fun activities and nightly shows along with good food with themed dinners. "I was there 2016 and i returned and l loved the lounge for adults. Love the live music however the Disco night or dance night nobody attendend i guess is the location, 10 years ago it was in the lobby maybe consider that?
I believe (3609room) had bed bugs.. the sheets are white and i could see black little things and I had some bites."

"I was expecting the infinity pool to be running but the pool was little dirty with insects. I spent 5 nights which I would recommend as after 5 nights your food choices became limited. The atmosphere was very relaxing and all staff were super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back someday ."
