Starfish 1 .

A pretty and spacious apartment, with all the comforts, converted from an architectural salvage of an old industrial structure, nearby the hotel Molino Stucky, in a suggestive and pleasant picture of the Giudecca island. The apartment is situated on two floors with visible wooden beams and is composed of three bedrooms. It can comfortably accommodate six/seven people surrounded by a suggestive and quiet aera, which is the island of Giudecca. The 85 square-metre apartment has 2 double-rooms, a twin-bedded room, a living room complete with sofa-bed, an equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, a utility room with a washing machine, a safe, free TV and WIFI. All rooms have air-conditioning, and a warm welcome greets the guests thanks to the elegant furnishing. The apartment is located approximately 150 m. from the jetty of Palanca and in the same area there are various shops, banks and nice restaurants, everything outside of the big tourist flows and therefore our guests can immerse themselves in the Venetian really more true.

Comfort, modern, cute

We really liked our stay here. Adults, my teen, and my 7 yr old all enjoyed it. There are restaurants a short walk away. Also very easy walk to the local supermarket. We got water-bus tickets for our stay in Venice and used it to get to and from the core part of Venice - the bus stop is very close to this rental house. The starfish motif is very cute and well done. Checkin was easy. We arrived via the train station, then took the water bus to the house. Host was very nice, explained everything to us, and was gracious to hold our luggage early, and then also after our checkout (we checked out at 11, but didn't leave for the airport until 3). Highly recommend!

Fabulous place for families or small group

I would highly recommend staying here if you visit Venice. The property is located on the island of Giudecca and conveniently located near restaurants, shops, a grocery store, and the water taxi. Sure there are a lot of other places located in the heart of Venice but they are more expensive and in crowded foot traffic areas. The apartment is clean and could sleep up to six people. The check in process was smooth and easy. Cristina provided perfect directions on how to get to the apartment from the train station. Nino met our family as we exited the water taxi and walked us to the apartment where we met Cristina, who then helped us to acclimate to the apartment and the area. Highly recommended.

Perfect place for a family

We just spent the last four nights in the most amazing apartment. It had lots of space for a family of 5-6, was very clean and beautifully decorated. It was also in a quieter place with small shops and bakeries a short walk away. It was also a short walk the water bus hitting all the major sites in a few minutes. We were very warmly welcomed right at the station. This place was excellent.

Can't get enough of this apartment and location.

We have stayed in this apartment twice. First as 5 adults, then as two couples. We returned because of how very clean and comfortable it is and how well appointed The quiet island of Giudecca feels like home by now. We love sitting on a park bench beside the canal and watching boat traffic. Cristina is friendly, caring and communicates well in English. I am confident she would be there for us should a problem arise.

Great place away from the hustle of Venice!

Perfect apartment for 2 couples! We stayed pre cruise and loved the location with easy access to the mainland but the quiet of Giudecca was so nice! Would recommend it in a heartbeat! Cristina was professional and friendly to deal with and answered any questions promptly. Tips: ACTV Vaporettos (water taxi) were so easy for transportation bought a 3 day pass online before getting to Venice and easily swapped it for the pass at the airport counter as well as a one way bus ticket to downtown Venice. Took it to Murano and Burano...very worthwhile day trip! The most picturesque little towns! We then purchased a one way ticket next door at the Hilton hotel to catch the water taxi (Aliguina company for €8) to the cruise port as the ACTV line didn’t go that direction.

An excellent place to stay on quiet Giudecca

When we arrived at Venice Airport we took the Alilaguna Line Blue water bus link (27 euros return) directly to the Hilton Molino Stucky hotel stop (a 1 hr 40 min sightseeing trip via Murano, Arsenale, San Marco to Giudecca!), where we were met by the lovely owner & excellent host Cristina, who kindly walked us the 50m to our apartment, which was situated down a side alley next to the historic Fortuny fabric design house & factory. Cristina speaks very good English and we were given a quick guide to the layout of the apartment, the keys, safe, the air con, roof blinds etc. Our apartment had a blue / nautical theme and was very nicely decorated. There was a sitting area on the ground floor with small TV (we never watched it) with an adjoining open plan kitchen/diner, while below the stairs to the upper level, there was a utility room with a sink, washer/dryer and an iron/ironing board. There were three bedrooms – a main double bedroom with en suite on the ground floor and upstairs a further double bed on a mezzanine floor and another bedroom with two small single beds, which were more suited for children than adults as the mattresses were rather narrow. The bathroom upstairs had a wash basin, toilet & shower cubicle, which was quite small and not easy to access unless you were very slim! A minor point was that there was no wardrobe in the mezzanine bedroom, only in the adjoining bedroom. We did self-cater for breakfast & evening meals most days – there is a local Coop and a nearby bakery for fresh croissants, rolls & cakes, even cartons of wine if desperate! Would suggest avoiding the very expensive fruit & vegetable shop by Palanca water stop - 6.90 Euros for a small galia melon which was 3.40 in the Coop! The waterfront along Guidecca has several restaurants, pizzerias and bars and we can recommend the A E Botti restaurant – their lasagne just melted in the mouth. We thought Giudecca was lovely and so quiet compared to the mayhem of St Mark’s. Cristina’s apartments have a lovely situation and from the Palanca water bus stops you can easily get to St Marks, Dorsodoro, Arsenale, Piazzale Roma & the railway station etc. Just make sure the water bus is going in the direction you want to go! And Giudecca is a great place to sit and watch the huge cruise ships sail by as they leave in the evening. Quite a sight but fear that several thousand passengers from three cruise ships in one day could contribute to the tourist overload in the city.

Perfect property for a stay in Venice

My friends and I have just returned from a 3 day stay at this lovely property. Cristina was very helpful from the initial enquiry. She helped with travel information and although she was unable to meet us from the boat on arrival she sent some lovely family members as a replacement who were extremely helpful. the property had everything we needed for our stay and was clean and beautifully presented. We liked that it was away from the main island whilst it was still easy to visit all the main attractions. We ate out on two occasions on Guidecca and with help found the useful supermarket. We would definitely recommend Cristina and her property to anyone planning a visit to Venice.

Wonderful Apartment and Perfect Place to Stay in Venice!

We stayed in Stella Marina 1 and it was very nice. The furnishings are nice, the beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped, and the host is wonderful! It even has a washer that also is a dryer! It is close to the Vaporetto stop and easy to get all around the Venice islands. There is a nice grocery store nearby and some great restaurants. We highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again! Cristina is wonderful - met us right away, helped us with our luggage, and had a fresh bottle of water and basket of treats in the apartment when we arrived. We stayed in three different VRBOs during our trip to Italy and this was by far the best! Thank you Cristina!

Great time in Guidecca!

This was our first time to Venice, and we loved our stay in Starfish in Guidecca. Cristina and her folks were so helpful and attentive. Communications prior to our arrival couldn't have been better, including the best ways to reach her. The apartment was even cuter than the pictures and perfectly comfortable! The linens, towels and pillows were perfect! The apartment(s) (there are a few in a row) are down an alleyway, which was well lit and easily accessible, but there are no views. Of course, you don't need that...since there is little time to stay in the apartment when there is so much to see and do! For some reason, there was some problems with reception with the cable TV, and there was a bit of noise in the mornings since there is construction across the alley...but ear plugs filtered any potential disruption to sleep. We would definitely return.

Very clean, quite, and very comfortable

Great service! Great apartment! Great location!

The apartment was beautiful. Cristina went out of her way to provide assistance with local information and small extras in the apartment like toasted bread, cookies, water, toiletries, etc... The location was perfect. The island is not touristy and the apartment was a very short walk from the vaparetto which was just one stop from San Marco. We truly enjoyed our stay here in Venice much more than we did in Rome. Thank you, Cristina for all of your great advice and help.

Very nice location with great host!

We really enjoyed the location and Cristina couldn''t have been more gracious. This is nicely decorated and consistent with the advertisement. . The sofa and chairs in the living room were not real comfortable but the beds were just fine for our group. The bathroom floors were not as clean as we expected but okay. All in all you can't go wrong renting this apartment. We enjoyed our stay. Cristina is fantastic as a host/hostess.

I would live here if I could. Exquisite place to stay!

We loved everything about our stay at Stella Marina 1, and we never wanted to leave. The dwelling is clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The appliances are new and work perfectly, the beds are comfortable, the bedding and furniture are new and in excellent condition. The wifi is great, and every room has an a/c unit. We are a family of 6 (two adults and 4 children) and the unit was comfortable and spacious enough for our big family. Every single one of us LOVED this place. The location is superb. Giudecca is a lovely island to stay on, close enough to the tourist attractions but away from the extreme crowds. There is plenty to do and see on Giudecca, too. The rental is a short walk away from the boat stop, so it is very easy to go anywhere from there. Multiple excellent restaurants are within walking distance, and we felt that the dining options were much better near the rental than anywhere else in Venice. The grocery store, ATM, and post office are also very close by, so you are never far from anything you need. The owner and her family are wonderful hosts, and they were always happy to answer questions and provide information and advice about the area. They were thoughtful enough to stock the kitchen with milk, water, and breakfast items so that we would have something to eat our first morning here. They also provide a binder full of information with maps, boat schedules, and tourist information, which was extremely helpful. The unit is very near the water and multiple art galleries. The view of Venice is simply breathtaking, and there are several benches nearby where you can sit with a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Everything about our experience here was perfect, and we cannot wait to return. We will absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to all our friends!!

Perfection!

This apartment could not have been better! My family and I had been on vacation for a while and our last leg of the trip was in Venice. Not to state the obvious but Venice is beautiful. The shops, restaurants, museums - you name it , everything is amazing! But you get to a point where all you want to do is rest comfortably . This apartment is just that! It's off the beaten path but exceptionally close to everything. It's quiet surroundings and perfectly appointed decor will make you wish you would have stayed for longer. The flat is spacious, ample and comfortable with loads of lights, 2 bathrooms and multiple beds. Great for families and/or friends traveling together. The apartment is central to public transport and about a dozen restaurants and galleries. This truly is a prime spot! There's even a HILTON to the immediate left of the complex. My wife and I plan to go back to Venice just to wander aimlessly (sans a 4 year old) and this apartment will be our go to for sure!
