Excellent hosts, perfect location, cute apartment

Carlo and Maria were communicative and helpful from the time we booked our stay. They made sure we were set up with the Venezia passes before we arrived and that we knew the best route from the train station. Carlo met us at the San Samuele stop and walked us to the apartment, then gave us a detailed overview of the area, and a short walking tour of the key things we needed to know about the neighborhood. The apartment itself had everything we needed, was very clean and well stocked with necessities, and was decorated with special Venetian touches. It was also in the perfect spot for our activities in and around St Marks Square, visits to L'Academmia and and Frari Church, and day trips outside of Venice, leaving from the train station.

The hosts were very responsive and informative. The property was in an ideal location. The listing is slightly misleading - this is a small flat and the photos gave the impression that it was larger. Travellers with limited mobility should not consider this property due to the steep stairs that lead up from the entry way to the main floor. Nonetheless we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Venice.

Cozy with Super Location.

Carlo and Maria were amazing hosts and helped us each step of the way. The home was welcoming and practical. It was close to everything with many shops and restaurants to explore. Highly recommend.

Perfect stay in Venice!

Carlo and Maria are the most gracious host! Their communication was completely proactive and they helped to line up transportation from the airport to the island and from the water bus stop to the house. It’s easy to get lost in the streets, so this was beyond appreciated. From there, it was terrific advice and directions to make the most of our stay. We can’t thank them enough.

Lovely Venice

Excellent property and location. The hosts Carlo and Maria made us feel like relatives visiting versus strangers from the USA. Carlo met us at the ferry stop from the airport, walked us to the apartment, showed us the features of the apartment and then sat us down with a big map of Venice and pointed out highlights we might want to visit. He walked us around the area to give us a foundation of where things are in the neighborhood. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The online pictures match what you get. Carlo and Maria were available via WhatsApp for any questions during our stay and even arranged our transportation when it was time to leave. I'd stay there again.

Great location and amazing hosts

The host met us at the water taxi and walked us back to the apartment. They even walked us to the correct water bus for the soccer game we were attending that afternoon and gave us tips for our trip. Communications was excellent.My one criticism is that the pictures online make it look like each bedroom has a bathroom en suite which is not the case.

Can’t beat the location!!

Had a great time at Maria and Carlo’s place. Such a treat to have Carlo meet us when we arrived, give us an understanding of surroundings, and recommendations since it was our first time. Appreciated them arranging water taxis to and from the train station as well. Would totally stay again!

Versatile

Yes, there are stairs. Yes, it smelled a touch damp (it’s Venice). And the floors slope since it’s an old building. But Carlo is great, with wonderful attention to detail. Location is great. Beds and two showers were good.

Great Venetian place to stay

The rental is in a cute Venice area accessible to public ferries—just a five-minute walk from the Ponte dell'Accademia. It is also only a couple of minutes' walk to an excellent bar for breakfast in Piazza San Stefano. The unit is accurately described, and Carlo is a great host. I would add that it's two flights of stairs up - this wasn't a problem for us, and Venice is full of stairs, but just keep in mind. I highly recommend the hosts and the rental. I stayed there only two nights but definitely could have stayed a week there.

Venice trip

We can’t say enough about our stay at the apartment. Maria and Marco were incredible hosts. They helped arrange water taxi’s for us and Marco met us at the stop and escorted us to the apartment, which was a very short walk away. Marco gave us a tour of the apartment and then provided us a great overview of Venice along with recommendations for places to check out and restaurants, bakeries and other places we should see. The apartment itself is in a great location with easy access to walk everywhere. There’s a nice piazza just around the corner to enjoy an afternoon cocktail. It was very clean and had the amenities that we needed for our family of 4 with two teens. We really didn’t spend a lot of time there because we were out exploring the area but when we were , we enjoyed it.

Best Hosts…

Really loved everything about the process and the complete stay. Hosts Carlo and Maria are fantastic. Christine was a great greeter picking us up at San Samuele station and walked us the house and showed us the house. Trust them if you ask for advice or suggestions for things to do or restaurants. We spent a week there, saw Venice pretty thoroughly and even went to Lido Beach for a day of relaxing and beach fun. Went on day trips to Verona and Padua and a winery near Padua… so much positive to say about our stay with Carlo and Maria. Thank You!

Wonderful Property and Hosts

Carlo and Maria Beatrice are fantastic hosts! They were very available, and went out of their way to meet us and give us some tips and recommendations for places to see and dine. Carlo brought a map for us and spent time going over all of the locations and answering our questions. I could not recommend them more! The house was clean and charming, and had everything we needed - bathrooms were recently remodeled and there was a washer/dryer to use as needed. With the exception of food, everything we could have needed was provided for us. The location was great and we could walk most places or catch a convenient ferry. I would 1000% stay here again for my next visit to Venice!

Great location, great hosts

First time in Venice, traveling with spouse and two adult daughters. The apartment was beautiful and in a wonderful location within walking distance of basically everything you’d want to see and do. Maria and Carlo couldn’t have been more delightful. Highly recommend!

Amazing host & beautiful apartment!

I'm fortunate to work for an Italian HQ company & visit often. Usually my colleagues provide information on what to see & where the best restaurants are. Unfortunately our reccomended restaurants were booked so we took Carlo's advice on where to go. Our dinner was the highlight of our trip! You know you are in the right place when you find a top celebrity from The Food Network filming in the restaurant... it was an amazing night. Carlo also took the time to quickly give us excellent navigation skills for the area. The apartment is beautifully decorated & we couldn't be happier with the experience. Book it & rest easy knowing you made the right choice. PS leave much earlier than you think for vaperetto pick up on departure, we missed our train to Cinque Terre... lol

Family of 5 with teenagers. Maria and Carlo are fantastic hosts. Communication from before arrival through our stay was easy and very clear. Property was exactly as described and beautifully appointed. Maria arranged for a water taxi to pick us is at the train station (and our return trip) and we were met at our destination taxi stop by Carlo. Carlo took time to not only greet us and walk us to our flat, but gave us the best introduction to Venice we could have imagined. He was thorough and gave us many amazing recommendations. He also took us on a short walk to show us how to navigate the area as well as sat with us to highlight areas and attractions on a map. We took advantage of those recommendations for activities and restaurants/bakeries and were not disappointed. When we had questions during our stay, Maria was quick to respond via what’s app. This property has been beautifully updated but retains its breathtaking charm and character. I honestly cannot say enough about this property and these hosts. We will stay here again and will 100% recommend to all of our friends.
