The area of Savudrija was already known to the ancient Romans as an ideal area for the treatment of lung diseases thanks to the numerous pine trees and the clean air and sea.the flat is located in a small village Volparija near the centre of Bašanija, where you can find a bakery, restaurants, bars, a post office and a small supermarket. In the neighbourhood you can admire the oldest lighthouse in the Adriatic, the Savudrija lighthouse. Along the coast there are several bars and restaurants by the sea where you can spend your summer evenings admiring the sea and the beautiful sunsets while enjoying delicious wines or Mediterranean dishes.in the centre of Umag we recommend a visit to the museum, the aquarium, the cathedral, a walk along the famous Umag dam to explore the narrow and interesting streets of the old town, or visit the stalls and, to the delight of the children, the playground on the waterfront. To buy a larger amount of groceries, it is better to walk a few kilometres to the largest and most convenient supermarkets such as Lidl, Spar, Kaufland or Plodine. There are various leisure facilities nearby: Tennis courts, the Adriatic Golf Club with 18 holes, horse riding, water sports, night clubs, adrenaline park, mini golf course, fishing. For cave lovers, visit the Baredine cave. Don't miss the opportunity to visit Hum, the smallest town in the world, just 60 kilometres from Umag. Also interesting are the places on the coast such as the Brijuni National Park, Pula, Rovinj and Poreč. Organise various fish picnic boat trips where you have the opportunity to visit Rovinj and Poreč or Novigrad. The day trip by hydrofoil to Venice (if it is possible due to COVID).
